The "I told you so" crowd for Mcmahon is peak rant insanity.

It's perfectly fine to be happy LSU is winning recently and still be skeptical of Mcmahon.
Chris Beard took Texas Tech to a final 4 and got Texas to #1 before his firing. Will Wade inherited the worst SEC record LSU had in 60 years and won the SEC while going 28-6.
I hope Mcmahon is the guy but comparing him to those two is hilarious. Last year was completely unacceptable and this year's crew lost to Nicholls State
we just got crushed by Auburn.
I'm hoping for the best but Mcmahon has way more to prove besides beating an Ole Miss team that is way ahead of schedule rebuilding.

What worse is the "CMM can't coach look at year 1" crowd. Dude took over a program with 2 players in one of the toughest leagues in the country and people like you use phrases like "completely unacceptable" instead of understanding this was a complete rebuild that is going to take 2-3 years to get it right. GTFO of here with that peak rant insanity. Insanity is thinking you just shite out winning records in the SEC.

I'm not saying fans can't be happy with winning, but the board is flooded with threads about Mcmahon being better than Wade and Beard.
I certainly hope he eventually is the answer but there's no comparing his coaching tenure to either of them at this point.
Again I want Mcmahon to succeed but he has way more to prove to us as we should expect that anyway.

So you decide to come here to give shite to LSU fans for actually being excited that we start it off 3-1 in the SEC? You sound like lots of fun to be around. You know better than anyone that starting off like this in SEC play is a huge surprise. Are some folks a little too excited over there, yes. But who gives a shite? Let them be excited.

I can agree with you about Beard. I love Will Wade. I would take him back today but he never really won anything. Won the regular season league once but never had good tournament runs and was in so much trouble never really got to coach in the tournaments.

There's no reason we should have been as bad as we were last season. period. we were historically awful last season with a roster that should have been way more competitive. I'm not suggesting we should have been a second round team but we shouldn't have tanked like that.

Yes there is a perfectly good reason. He inherited a team with 2 players on it and one was hurt. We were extremely easy to defend once the blueprint was out because we didn't have an option 3 or option 4. We weren't fluid on offense because we had to just throw a group of kids together and hope for the best. Even this year we lack the talent to be super competitive for the top of the SEC. Building a good roster takes a little time. I'm not this huge CMM but judging the man off year one is really dumb and objectively doesn't make alot of sense. I still consider year 2 par to the rebuild and hope to be competitive year 3. Mac has adjusted his offensive system for this team and it's done wonders. Give the man the credit he deserves for the job he's done so far this year. Doesn't mean you think he's Saban.

Nobody cares anymore, though, and we're sick of hearing about it. I'm relieved to see the chatter has mostly moved past it to instead being excited about our basketball team, no matter how hyperbolic and overzealous some of the people gloating are.
