The only I told you so I will pony up yo is the fact I kept saying give it more than 1 year to judge a coach. That is absolute insanity. Most of you have never coached or run anything for that matter. And to be hating even after wins is insanity. A bad coach doesn’t get his team back from 28 points down to 8 points on the road at Auburn. That right there showed me something. This team has scorers. Multiple scorers. They are exceeding rebounding expectations. Coaching. Not afraid to bench your most important player, Cook. Coaching. Convincing your PG to let others step up instead of forcing the shot. Last night when Cook fed Williams in the corner for the huge 3 late in the game. Coaching. Confusing the defense with multiple high screen rolls back to back. Coaching. Give him a few more years and let’s see what he can f do o with even more talent. Be LSU fans for a change.

I would argue that the 2-14 2009-2010 season was worse since they had the worst record in the SEC that year but finished ahead of Mizzou (tiebreaker) in 2016-2017. But you also counted wrong the 1-15 season under Press was 1966-1967 so that would be 50 years, not 60

The is no excusing the loss to Nichols but the team now and then seems to be playing a lot differently. I think Cook was the catalyst for that.

As for the Auburn loss, that was at Auburn, and Auburn was favored in that game. Also, that loss was not as bad as LSU's loss to Okie State in the year Wade won the SEC regular season. Especially considering that Okie State was a 12–20 team that season and LSU was ranked #19. Auburn already has more wins than Okie had that whole season.

He has more to prove, undoubtedly. Beating that Ole Miss team in the way they did is not meaningless, though. It was still far too sloppy but if they can play with the energy they did last night, they may do OK this season.
