Now just hold on a sec. If you are an LSU football player with a promising career, he will absolutely frick you.

ND fans aren’t exactly the best barometer.

This is true.

My point was Barstool is in the Midwest (Chicago). Still under Notre Dame fan base influence.

Are you stupid? Look at what he's done at Tennessee.

He's been basically BK, record wise.

Tennessee hadn’t done shite for about a decade. That’s worse than the cupboard Orgeron left.

but what he’s done at Tenn is more impressive than what BK has done

How so?

Heupel has no SEC championahip appearances and will probably have no playoff appearances with the UGA loss.

7-6 (4-4)
11-2 (6-2)
9-4 (4-4)
8-2 (5-2)

LSU and Tennessee are basically the same program.

I couldn’t stand him at ND but at least he was fiery. I really think the game has passed him by.

I think both rosters had to basically be rebuilt.

Heupel hasn't even landed consecutive top 10 classes yet and has some really bad losses, rivaling Kelly.

He hasn't been dramatically better.

Program trajectory. Tennessee is playing games that matter still.

This team is not now or ever was a contender for the SEC or national honors as most people said in the preseason.

Why in the hell not?? That’s why the man makes 8mil a year for - to deliver just that!

Tennessee went 9-4 in Heupel's year 3.

They got blown out by Mizzou, Florida, Alabama, and Georgia.

But the grass is always greener on the other side, I suppose.

“was”

That’s the key word. Guess what? Tennessee is STILL playing meaningful games. They need to beat UTEP and Vandy to finish 10-2. They didn’t get run off the field against Bama this year. They pissed away a close road game at Arky, and were competitive in Athens tonight.

Maybe we win out and go 9-4. Fine.

I am NOT one of those guys. The others we could have hired during the coaching cycle have sucked shite. Riley? No thanks. Napier? Nope. I liked Kelly at the time. I still support him and want him to do well. That said, if I had to choose, I’d go with the younger guy who hadn’t lost his team and may not have hit his ceiling at a place less fertile with blue chip recruits.

Why do fans always say this dumb shite?

Remember when DeBoer lost his team earlier this year?
