I stopped reading this thread after the first page. I understand powers-that-be make decisions about scheduling, either voluntarily or contracturally.

To me, the bottom line here is night games against quality opponents in Tiger Stadium are almost the exception rather than the norm now and I think we are losing a part of our tradition and football culture because of it.

Well said, but anything relating to tradition these days is crushed by the Almighty Dollar.

If it is then the LSU fanbase SUCKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If fans are worried about frickING tailgating than being more worried about there team than frick THEM. I will be in the stadium ready to cheer. I can drink at 7 in the A.M. or 11 in the P.M. These SELFISH LSU fans that just want what they want just to tailgate and A 11:30 game is gonna ruin there fun are ZERO fans to begin with.

I agree with every single word of this.

So, Auburn is the last chance for our only conference home contest on a Saturday night?

The fans bitching in this thread about 1 lousy 11am game make me sick. I understand that night games at LSU are a tradition however I rather be a top 10 team playing on TV at 11 am than LSU of the Curly days playing night games because we were so bad no TV network would pick us up. We have a TV contract that the SEC set up in the best interest of the whole 12 team conference not what is in the best interest of the a small restaurant outside of campus. It is laughable to think as one poster said a few pages back to tell the TV networks frick you we play game when we want to, take us the way we are or leave us. You know what they will say to us, ok too bad we didn't want you anyways. There would be many conferences who would love the TV deal we have and the money it brings in. What I think it comes down to for these few pissy "LSU" fans is not the fact they are messing with the tradition of night games. It's the idea that someone is taking away their "right" as LSU fans to tailgate all day and get fricking plastered before a LSU game. Well let me tell you tailgating is not a right but a privilege we all get to enjoy. The world will not end because of this game. The notion you would give up your season tickets because of this is idiotic and the fact you think LSU should care. For every one who gives up their tickets, there are 1,000 people in line to get season tickets. Real LSU fans support their team win or loose, during the day or at night and through adversity. Suck it up, enjoy the game and support your Tigers in victory.

frick. This. shite.

I work the night shift. So, if I wake up at 3pm, will the replay of the game be available in the Geaux Zone?

I can live with it. It means getting home at 7 PM instead of 2 AM.
