I like it. I will take a win by 1 though.

What most people do not realize is that the last 4 teams to beat Bama (LSU (2), UF, USC) threw the ball 22 times or less. It is not the number of passes that beats Bama, it is the efficiency of those pass attempts that makes the difference. 200+ rushing is the key.

LSU throws less than 15 passes

odd statement. the game will dictate how many passes we throw. bama has a great run defense (just like us) and we probably will nedd to pass more than 15x.

The Formula for LSU beating Bama

Other than win the TO battle...

1. Do not fall behind early.
2. Fewer penalties.
3. Good playcalling.
4. Need to run some misdirection plays.
5. Be more physical than bama.

possible

3. 200+rushing yards

be tough against Bamas defense

no turnovers on offense

doubtful

we hope so

2 turnovers on defense

again it will be tough getting AJ to throw a pick or their RB's to fumble. It took a great baiting by Mo last year to get that one pick on AJ and the other by reid was on maze.

Stop the run - defend the dink passes

Run the ball effectively and complete a couple of downfield passes.

I would add this..

Any player on the field wearing an LSU uniform needs to play with a disciplined white-hot fury between each snap and whistle! I am not talking about swag, I am talking about a life-sucking, soul-emaciating attitude.

That would likely do the trick.

LSU had better be able to defend against the pass on 1st down, and they'd better cover the tight ends.

Tigers need to come out and punch them in the mouth to start the game. Then give them 4 quarters of HELL fom the center of the field to the top row of seats all the way around Tiger Stadium. Beat that arse!

Well, when we beat Bama last year, JJ threw the ball 10 times. We connected on 6 passes. Lee was 3 - 7. We had 90+ yards passing on 17 attempts and won. However, JJ had a good running day with about 4 yards per carry. That's the part we're going to need to replace (even though it wasn't a ton of yards). We rushed for about 150 and held them to under 100. We earned that W.

In 2010, JJ was 10-13 for 141 and a TD. Lee was 4-7 for 60+ yards with a big completion at the end to ice it. So we threw the ball near the same amount in both wins. 17 - 20 passes seems ideal if the D can hold and the running game can get going a little.

This year will be different because we won't be picking up any first downs with Mett's feet, so there may be more pass attempts if we get in 3rd and long a lot. That will be the tough part. We actually ran for over 200+ on them two years ago and had over 400 yards of offense on them. That didn't seem very likely at the time...so anything is possible.

LSU can't turn it over and they need to slash the penalties in half or by more. They need to use less of Ware against Bama and give it to Hill more as well as Ford. Those are your big play threats and that's what you need against Bama. The D needs to interrupt crossing routes on 3rd down. Bama does that all the time on 3rd down and usually picks it up.

Incorrect where?

Edit: You are right, it was Auburn, My Bad. Point remains the same.

So you think we get 300+ yards on offense?

Are we going to shut them out to win by 10+?

If LSU only throws the ball 15 times that means our passing game is not succesfful, and this is a pound and ground game, low scoring on both ends.

If LSU only throws the ball 15 times it would actually meant the running game was ultra successful which is not what I expect. I think they'll be forced to throw at least 25 times and they had better complete at least 60% of them for any hope of offensive balance. I also think they will need to rush for a minimum of 150 yards, win the turnover battle and have fewer penalty yards than 'Bama; all things that are generally necessary when talent is fairly even but the other team has a superior QB.

How LSU does against Bama comes down to how the offense does on 3rd & Longs. And that's it.

lsu throws 52 times bama will have 19 sacks and 4 picks

Soooo he completes 48 of the other passes for 10 yards per for 480 yards on the day and 5 touchdowns. That opens up the run game HUGE for 300 yards on the ground, minus 5 yards per sack which nets rushing at 205. So total yards comes out to be like 685, give or take a couple of yards for some knees taken in victory formation with 6:38 still on the clock in the third quarter.

What?? Angels in the outfield, "It could happen."

I think the formula will be to throw the ball to get them out of the box and cram the ball down their throat for four quarters. Also, an very aggressive D, we need at the least one turn over.

I'm praying we get a pick sick in this game, we are dude for one or a blocked put.

I'm not asking a lot, I'm just asking for a normal big game performance from my Tigers like years past. We just need to go out there and play like we play on a big stage, electrifying.

BTW: You old shite heads get up and scream or sell your ticket, the north-endzone isn't your living room. I'd almost rather have a Bama fan sit in your seat than watch your cumbersome arse sit there waiting for your coffin.
