et's let them play a game under the new regime first before we start labeling the direction of the program

If you can’t tell that the program is ascending, then you simply aren’t paying attention. At all.

Nope. Bottom is bottom

Not very well versed in line graphs, are we? He said “hit bottom and continue in a straight line”, not “hit bottom and keep declining” lol

Literally said by someone on the rant every offseason.

Remember how pumped people were to see Peetz' Joe Brady offense tear UCLA a new a-hole?

Rock bottom was concrete and this team was a golf ball. Kelly came in and recovered QUICK.

From a ROI perspective it is. With the amount of money and resources we put into the program now compared to 30 years ago this was about as close to the bottom as we can get.

How old are you? What we just saw was nowhere near as bad as the early 90s.

I was at LSU from 88-92. These last two years sucked, but far from rock bottom.

I was there then also. While we sucked, we didn't know what it was like to experience what we had from 2001 to 2019. The last two years may not have been as bad as the early '90s, but to me it actually felt lower after the crash and burn post 2019.

As an individual game, it is hard to argue with that.

But there a lot of mitigating factors for that one game.

LSU lost to Vanderbilt in 1990. Vandies one and only win that year.

Imagine the K State game every single SEC game. That was rock bottom and that was 88-92 as mentioned above. That was the only time I would walk into a stadium thinking we don’t have a snowballs chance in hell of beating _______ (name anyone) that day.

Since Dinardo, I’ve always said we have a shot no matter who we were playing. Even against Kansas State last month I was optimistic for whatever reason.

You can try to qualify it all you want but the last 2 seasons were FAR from rock bottom. Its been said earlier but its worth repeating:
Until youve sat in TS & had to watch a 2-9 LSU team get absolutely Destroyed by Florida & the Old Ball Coach - in TS & also In the midst of a 10-15 year collapse of a Proud Program into mediocrity & embarrassment - U havent even approached Rock Bottom!!
