Nobody is happy with 8-4. Everyone is frustrated. That means negatigers, positiger and realitiger.

People just find different mechanisms to deal with the dissappointment.
Spot on, at least for me. Described it perfectly. Especially the "frustration" part.

My mechanism is to point at all the contributing factors like some sort of mantra instead of focusing on one player or coach (I do get why some do).

In my mind there's a whole bunch to fix. In others, fix one thing and the rest falls into place. Who knows who's right.

The question should be who is "ok" with 8-4 and from reading through this thread there are several who admitted they are and "over it". Some douche in another thread said that 5-5 is mediocre? So that means 8-4 is good? Bunch of low expectation having MFer's.

pronounced Tiiiigs!

A solid par year, growth shown, not happy with 8-4 in general, but this one was ok. Slightly impressed by the overall last six games(sans Ark), in contrast to the first six(when the OL couldn't get push vs directionals despite pitching ugly shutouts in OOC)

What really pisses me off is

2013 offense with 2010 defense = NC
2013 offense with 2011 defense = GOAT NC
2013 offense with 2012 defense = NC
2013 offense with 2013 defense = 10-3
2013 offense with 2014 defense = Possible NC

fricking drives me nuts.

frick a 8-4 but I'm not going to be irrational about season where there was inexperience at all the offensive skill positions either.

I think we should link the definition of irrational for most on this board

Win the Bowl Game and 9-4.

I would still be disappointed.

I agree, our offense is very well coached, just inexperienced in key positions. We're all waiting for the D and O to align

Going 8-4 is about what a lot of us expected. Considering the lack of talent at the QB position, the amount of skill position talent that had to be replaced, and the sometimes moronic offensive game plans, we were fortunate to win 8.

That doesn't mean that we should ask questions about why we didn't try other players/tactics.

Now you know if I were do that, the irrational ones would want Webster fired because they wouldn't agree with what Websters' definition of what irrational means.

I think he was talking about the OP but he just responded to me because at the time, my post was the last post. That's why I ignored it in the first place.
