Correct me if I’m wrong but Andre Sale is in the same class as Brennan

He could redshirt this year and then be a year behind for eligibility

Justin Rogers had a major knee injury last year and his recovery is not guaranteed. He is not even fully cleared at TCU yet and will redshirt this year to complete his rehab.

While certainly LSU could use him, if his injury is OK, he would not be a factor this year and is irrelevant to the current situation.

Would you rather have Justin or the guy they signed?

Yes - Orgeron is going to win a national championship with Loving starting against Georgia in Atlanta after Burrow who was given the starting job to transfer - do not believe the "opportunity to compete" mantra.) and Brennan get hurt and Loving takes over against AtM to win out .........
Orgeron gets coach of the year and is proclaimed the next Dabo ...

I think Rogers is relevant to the situation. We have no freshman scholarship qb in development.

His injury may have precluded him from providing depth this year, I'll agree with that point you make.

If Burrow has a great season and goes pro, we have only one scholarship qb with any real experience in the program.

Its not like LSU didn't want Rogers, they just lost him.

And I am not trying to bash on Orgeron, I am sure he tried to get a qb for the 2018 class. He didn't, so its a fail, like him or not.

Losing Lowell and McMillian is irrelevant for 2018, but Lowell had 4 years of eligibility left. You have to take a good/great QB each. RS Freshman Justin Rogers would be a nice asset in 2019 or as a sophomore in 2020. Now you're looking at a major question mark at QB in 2020.

I believe I stated as much. LSU could use Rogers, if he heals from his injury (which is not guaranteed. It was gruesome). But the bulk of the conversation going on is LSU's depth THIS YEAR. Rogers would not help in that regard.

And of course LSU wanted Rogers. I never said otherwise. He wanted to go elsewhere, which is fine.

Burrow? I would prefer Burrow.

No problem - don't we have the commitment from the top ranked 2019 QB?
Best HS QB ever and even better than the Clemson freshman Trevor Lawrence.

That's only because it is right in front of us. But, more likely, the real impact of these 2 leaving is the impact to our depth over the next 2-3 years.

We've got Parrish for 2019 and Finley for 2020. We're fine.

Sure, and that's a different conversation. It appears McMillan and Narcisse were not much more than depth anyway. They were 3 and 4 on the depth chart and likely to drop with future recruits.

But not a single decent QB that is ready to play.

-----------

Just the opposite. LN doesn't have the faculty to play qb at LSU.

it is best (for them) that both McMillan and Narcisse transferred... both were going to see very little playing time this year!

True but a transfer could come in just like burrow and contribute. It's obviously not unheard of and may even work out.
I don't like it but we're not exactly setting the world on fire developing our own QBs.

You looked at the 2018 class list lately? There’s a guy, maybe you’ve heard of him. Joe Burrow.
