It will be either New Orleans or Baton Rouge. Announcement tomorrow. Leaning towards New Orleans because of threat of rain in Baton Rouge Saturday. And yes I have sources.

The problem is that it might get a lot of rain. The dome is covered

i'm told Nola is the front runner however due to the lack of hotel availability this weekend from decadence it could cost us getting the game. It makes sense that the away team fans who still want to travel need somewhere to stay

Weather Channel ticker shows that New Orleans is anticipating heavy rain and making sandbags available. Sounds promising.

I'm seeing 3 to 5 through Thursday for the BR area. Has the Tiger Stadium staff forgotten how to tarp the field and the improved drainage system got clogged up. Some of you have been bitching all year about losing a home game and now a chance to get it back and you're still bitching.

Does decadence really take up that many rooms? I've gotten last minute rooms fairly cheaply on Labor Day in the past

Dumb. Ticket revenue would suck.

I know I am not in a position to travel to Utah within the next few days. Lots more Tiger fans probably aren't either.

We should do it in Indianapolis or Detroit. In the heart of Big10 country just to throw the for their attempts at running satellite camps in LSU territory

Does BYU travel that well? Given the number of hotels in Nola, it hardly seems like they would have trouble supporting both events.

FEMA is taking precautions ahead of potential flooding in NOLA, as well.

I think the Superdome could be ready with a week’s notice

Saints play Thursday and I've seen them flip it in less than 24 hours. Hosted the lions on Saturday night playoff game and then turned it around for 1/9/12.

I agree it will rain in BR. Possible chance of lightning delays. BYU got a rule of not playing on Sunday and with the game scheduled for 830 one lightning delay might mean cancellation. Plus I want to see LSU fast athletes on a dry fast track turf rather than the quagmire that would be in tiger stadium

Put it in a Dome so we don't embarass ourselves with a McNeese type situation.

Can you imagine how bad that would be to move from HTX to BR only to get lightning/rained out?
