It's you who sounds ignorant. I play poker at Laberge in BR with many people living in NOLA, they complain about the flooded streets.
Well that settles it then..

contingency stadiums in the contract are not superdome and tiger stadium... keep that in mind...
Interesting. What contingency stadiums are listed in the contract?

Only the geniuses at LSU would relocate game from one flooded city to another that's below sea level and floods when it gets a couple inches of rain. With area to be hit with rain late next week.

What's your opinion on where it should be played?

NO doesn't flood with 2" of rain. When NO got 8" in 3 hours there was some flooding, but you could have gotten to a game in the Dome even on that day. And NO knows how to handle a game even with little notice. NO knows how to handle big events.
A few of you LSU people need to quit badmouthing Louisiana's major city. You are acting disgracefully.

It was more than "some flooding"

I was told by someone in another SEC athletic dept... that it was phoenix or nashville

Here was the traffic map in Nola on that day.

The true disgrace, are the idiot New Orleans officials who made statue removal a priority, and not the pumps that protect the people.

No, I would call The NYT's if it came to that. You don't mess with people's lives, not over sports or anything else.

Move it anywhere. Just play it.
Anything, other than canceling the game, I'm good with.

And I was told that BR was the front-runner, but they were discussing other options, who really knows?

Move the game to San Antonio to the Alamo Dome! I think that would be a great place! Only bad thing people that evacuated the coast could still be in the hotels.

Lmao. You are holding to your br stance....
Are you special?

I'd say it depends on what path the storm takes, whether the Dome is the best option or not.
If it looks like Harvey will move into Louisiana and NOLA would get hit hard, I'd support moving the game to Provo, UT.
I just want the game to be played. And it's refreshing to see that our opponent wants to work with us to do so. For a change.
I'm looking at you, Florida.

Really doesn't matter where its played, as long as the safety of the people attending is put first and foremost.
I was told it flooded really bad in NO. because of some pumps being down, so that's a real concern. Don't need New Orleans city officials who really screwed this up, making matters worse.

that is true.. but BYU has some bargaining room on that - that is not what the contract called for.... if they come here they want LSU in provo..
and if LSU were in their shoes they would want the same thing.....

Right. BYU, ESPN, sponsors and the organizers in Houston would have no say so. Only LSU would make that call.
