Pumps are not all working, NO. could flood, idiot city officials focused on removing statues instead of the more immediate needs of the people, like fixing the pumps.

I would put money down that the game is played in Provo next Saturday.

I'd be shocked if the game is sold out.

No chance it's a sellout wherever it's played

They're going to try to play it in NOLA, if not it'll be canceled.

Some are working, I don't think NOLA will be in danger of flooding but in reality they are in danger of flooding everyday.

So LSU fans, the Mormons and Decadence Festival all in NOLA in the same weekend....this should make for great people watching.

When some parts New Orleans were flooded a few weeks ago, they got 8-10 inches of rain in 3 hours. And the flooding wasnt really that bad. It wouldnt have stopped a football game.
You and TrueTigerTale sound ignorant on the subject.

Sort of upset with the nerds controlling threads at TD whacking mine, when the possibility of flooding in NOLA really does exist, this is getting me angry, may have to report this.

Of course it exists I was there a few weeks ago with no serious threat and it randomly flooded.
Posted on 8/27/17 at 2:41 pm to LakeViewLSU
Yeah, 5-6 inches of rain over the course of the week would not stop the game.
Posted on 8/27/17 at 2:42 pm to TrueTigerTale
8 inches of rain over 7 days is no big deal, but thanks for also infecting this thread.

It's you who sounds ignorant. I play poker at Laberge in BR with many people living in NOLA, they complain about the flooded streets.

No one is saying it won't/ can't flood. Even the big flood a month ago wouldn't have stopped a game. Hell, thousands of people were running around doing White Linen Night with no problems.

I live in your same neighborhood, bud.
I'm not saying it would be enough to stop a football game from being played in the Superdome. I'm saying that with the storm potentially moving a little more east, and rainfall projections across all of Louisiana rising, and no one really knowing exactly where the path of the storm will end up, why even risk it? Why would BYU agree to that (unless, of course, they are basically forced to)?
I really don't care where the game gets played, but I would love for it to be played. If it works out that I get to sleep in my own bed, that would be tight.

Does BYU travel that well? Given the number of hotels in Nola, it hardly seems like they would have trouble supporting both events.
BYU sold 9400 tickets to this game, but I know for a fact some of those were sold to LSU fans (because I bought some). BYU "travels" in the sense that the local mormons come out to see the team play.
