My wife is a pretty good driver. She handles a 4 speed and parking as well as anyone. After sundown though, all those good qualities go down the drain because her night vision has really gotten bad.

She's good.

Had to slow her down a bit on this last trip. She wa hitting upper 80s-low 90s in a 80 zone.

I could hear the diesel going through the injector pump.

My wife drives fine, but I am so used to always driving that when anyone else drives, I'm nervous about it.

Mine doesn't need a gas pedal... it's either to the floor, or nothing.. I have permanent whip lash.

Need just an go and stop switch on the steering wheel for her.

Same here. However, she has been driving since she was about 19, now 80 years old, and has only had one accident. Not her fault. She pulled onto a four lane road, turned right, and a lady clipped her front fender, bumper. The lady, I suspect, was wanting insurance money. After admitting to my wife that it was her fault and not my wife's, her Insurance Company sued. Found out the lady had previously pulled a scam.
Last week she drove to pick up some flowers/pumpkins for the Hollidays. I got in and she immediately rocketed off. She was at 60 mph or above on a country road, 35 mph speed limit. She repeatedly accelerates until it is time to brake. then she almost slides the tires stopping. I usually get in and close my eyes.

I drove home.

My wife’s whole family can’t drive for shite. I thought they had money when we first started dating because she, her parents, and brother all had nice new vehicles. Turned out none of them can go more than a couple years without crashing into something.

Her dad actually just totaled his 2025 F150 about a month ago. Crashed into a guardrail because a “dadgum rice-rocket cut him off.”

He was in a new 26 by the end of the week…

If she’s in the car, she tells me how to drive.

My wife's sister and her daughter always say. " Just follow me". And proceed to zip through a yellow light, and then another yellow/red light.

Aggravating as hell.

Brakes are used when absolutely necessary and a sign of inefficiency and lack of skill.

Brakes serve as a 50/50 partner in the effort to go forward.

Your wife drives like me.
I have to run commentary on long trips.

I've never been in a car with my wife when she's driving so I don't actually know how she drives. Married 15 years and I drive 100% of the time if we're in the car together.
