I think it has more to do with the game day experience more than anything. The endless increasing of fees, more and more paid parking etc. Its ridiculous!

I completely agree. With todays HD and 4K 70 inch TVs, surround sound, comfortable recliners, and fridges stocked full of beer and food (without the hassle of waiting in a line to get from a concession stand), and not having to fool with parking OR traffic.....watching the game from home doesnt seem so bad anymore.

They should have never done the last expansion.

There were a shitton of season tickets for sale before the season started. Next year will be a blood bath for season ticket renewals.

And yes, the game day experience and crappy schedule is a deal breaker.

When you consider the huge amounts of money it takes to get decent seats...or to change to decent seats....you could buy great seats to any games you want to attend online and likely still come out way ahead.

Been using this model for years.

As a TAF member who tends to donate more than just my season ticket dues, I can assure you that my "extra" money will start to dwindle if this shite show isn't fixed soon. The other members I know, some whom donate a substantial amount more than me, are beginning to trend that way as well.

Alleva is a problem. And that sentiment is starting to flow through TAF like wild fire

Best news I've heard since Saturday.

I have to agree. I've been a season ticket holder for almost 20 years and, to me, the game day experience has degraded dramatically over the past few years especially. I still really enjoy tailgating and TS at night but it's getting harder every year. It seems like every year there's a new twist to put a damper on the fans - e.g. this year's parking disaster.

In the long run this will be a good thing, but it will take a while. Ultimately losing money gets rid of those in control.

A new AD coming in will get rid of all this paid parking and exorbitant fee nonsense in order to get fans back in who are going to be disenfranchised soon after we go 14-12 over the next two seasons.

Pressure from Miles' buyout and Orgeron's buyout will ensure boosters spend the time and the money to get the next hire right.

After we get gashed on the lines time after time the new Head Coach will emphasize recruiting in the trenches.

Will Wade will make basketball a profit generator again to ease a little pressure off the football program.

its just not worth it to my wife and i to try to find someone to watch our young kids, fight traffic on the way to and from the game, pay to park, and pay out the arse for concessions

I'll be attending Troy (to bring my 4 year old to his first game), Auburn, and maybe aTm.

Otherwise I've gotten to the point where its not worth the hassle when I can just have friends over while smoking a brisket and watch it on a 60 inch flat screen

There's still no feeling like being IN Tiger Stadium, but there is a weighing that must occur and that feeling alone just isnt enough anymore to make me want to deal with all the other BS

They are toothless......they will do nothing until Rome is in a full fledged three-alarm fire.

I'm not saying fire O at all, but Alleva should've been put on notice a long time ago.

I'm in the same spot. However, I quit giving extra when we retained Miles in 2015. I too know others that are taking the same approach.

Alleva needs to be gone.

I went to the @TAMU game last year.
We went to a TAMU house party right off of campus and hung out with Aggies for a while. 90 mins before kickoff I am getting nervous telling our host we need to get going to park and walk in and I didnt want to miss pre-game by the Aggie band. They laughed and said chill out, we will be fine.

We left the house 45 mins before kickoff, drove on to the campus no problem, followed the cops directing traffic, parked about a mile from the stadium, walked in through security and were in our seats as the Aggie Band took the field.

I was dumbfounded at the order, efficiency and ease of getting parked and into the TAMU stadium.

mandated that concessions be affordable for everyone 2 dollar cokes, 2 hot dogs and popcorn. That is how you keep fans in seats. 7 dollars for a damn coke or 6 bucks for water is criminal imo

Dang. This price is a little low imo but who woukd downvote this.

unrelated by I love how Blank is getting so much credit for this....Fans paid for the damn stadium the least he could do was toss them a bone with cheap concessions

Do you think these prices are unique to LSU? Arthur Blank and his brand new stadium and first home game not with standing, the prices at TS are in line with every other venue I've been too, it doesn't keep crowds away elsewhere.

His hires of Jones and Orgeron, and his mindless proclivity to produce contracts that allow his shills to rob LSU blind is an ever more reason to run Alleva out of Louisiana on the back of a jackass.

And his handling of the Duke lacrosse situation is why he never should have been hired in the first place.

Actually he's the opposite. He's the most insecure administrator on campus.

To be fair, TAMU has a lot more room around their stadium than LSU does.

In re: paid parking, I've always said if the AD got serious about using it to add value, they could make a mint on parking. If they sold spots that are close (like near T Boyd, for instance) and added value to the purchaser like assigning spots and selling it for the season, it would work. This pay the day off crap adds no value and took away what was value, a close spot for free.

Right now, LSU's only answer is to charge for things that were free and offer no value to the customer. Everyone gets pissed with that kind of strategy. If you wanted to monetize parking, you should have added some value to the experience. Now it just sucks and it is expensive.
