We finally get beer in the stadium and everyone is pissed off at the way the beer area looks, typical LSU fans

Dude the place is a couple of ice chests inside a chain link fence. It looks like they couldn't even be bothered to half arse it . I'll be impressed if it works efficiently.

Dude for real? Those are legit upgrades and it almost sounds like the athletic department was listening to complaints or something

Did you expect them to build a million dollar sports bar in the bowels of the stadium?

This is just a ploy to get the SEC to come off their by-laws and allow beer to be sold throughout the stadium.

If they make money off of it then they may invest more in to it for the 2019 season.

Yeah I do t understand what they expected. Do you know how long it would take if they built a nice draft set up? I was hoping it was just big ice buckets with bottles. As long as there are a few high top tables or something I don’t give a shite. I still want to feel like I am in the stadium. If I wanted a regular bar I would just go to a bar.

Exactly. It's a glorified concession stand and there's nothing wrong with that. It's a football stadium. WTF is wrong with our fans?

Because when it was announced you would think it would be a nice fixed up area, not some beach tent from academy and gas station coolers for beer.

It's a beer area in a college stadium, it's not actually supposed to be a bar or anything. Just be happy you can pay $7 for a beer if you really want one bad enough

It's actually $20 minimum. There's a cover charge that includes 2 beers but exactly what beer and how much hasn't been specified unless I'm mistaken.

I don't know if this has already been asked/answered but do we know how long before the game The Chute would be open? For the big games it seems like it would be worth going in early drinking a few beers, watch some games and not have to wait in a long line before kickoff.

2.5 hours prior to kick according to the release a few weeks ago

Honestly, it looks like shite. It looks thrown together and no thought was put into it at all.

Agreed.

They should rename it “The Circle K.”

Or “The Chute presented by Circle K.”

Looks like they threw it together in less than 2 hours but it’s a good start. I’m sure they’ll only improve the area in the future

Bring on the IPAs

I'm not knocking you, but those pics of healthy options are fricking candy and potato chips it looks like.

And for some reason I invisioned something really cool, not this temp type set up.

I’m sure this has been answered elsewhere but can this only be accessed from south end zone ticket holders?

This is embarrassing. The place should be called the poop chute.

You know what? I'm gonna go check it out. If there's ten thousand people in there, I'll probably just turn around.

So if me and the wife roll in there and pay a total of $40, we have to stay there in order to drink our 4 beers?

I think the chute has its purpose. Will be good for those who don’t necessarily have tailgates to go too. Might want to go in early to grab a drink or get out of the sun/rain. It’s soemthing else to do. I imagine if successful it can grow into something bigger and better in the future. If you don’t like it or think it’s not worth it don’t go. I see a nice place to go and grab a beer before the game or during a weather delay.

Any alcohol obtained within the Chute must be consumed within the area.

However, if you only want to use one of your two freebies and come back later in the game to redeem the other, you may do so so long as you do it before closing time (Begin of 4th Quarter).

Anyone else confused about why there are 7 drink refill stations in the south end zone and 3 split between the rest of the stadium? The east doesn’t even have one
