Floyd of Rosedale and Stanford Axe step aside…Behold the greatest trophy in college football.

This 200-pound behemoth of geographic close-enoughness simply has no rival

She is gorgeous

Now let’s keep her home

I remember as a kid going through the LSU hall of fame and getting to touch the boot. By the way, is the of fame still open to fans?

Solid gold-- 2,400 oz of wealth.

At the present value of gold at ~ 2650. per oz., we're talkin' bout a trophy containing $6,360,000 worth of 24 kt fine gold!

But... being able to carry that majestic piece of opulence back home, to put in your trophy case for another year--- PRICELESS!!

Well, it is the biggest (4 feet tall)
And it is the heaviest (200 pounds)
And it is the gaudiest -- 24-karat gold (probably hollow, at only 200 lbs)

But it’s an attempt to contrive a rivalry where none exists -- they hate us, but we don’t hate them.

And the fact that we don’t consider them a rival -- that makes them hate us even more.
And that amuses me . . .

The Boot actually shows my "Hometown" hangout accurately. (Lake Pontchartrain)

Me and my buddy's from MANDEVILLE spent a lot of time on the Lake and in the swamps, marshes, rivers and bayous north of the Lake. We built a camp way back up Bayou Castine and camped out there a lot. We weren't alcohol and druggie trash either........

It may not be solid gold, but perhaps gold-coated?

Hasn't the winning team (don't remember which) just gone off and left it out on the field?

Yes we have left it multiple times.

Arky has never left it, it’s their national championship

The bullion price of gold has skyrocketed since the trophy's inception. Heck gold has nearly doubled since the passage of the Inflation Reduction Act

That’s because inflation increased after the inflation reduction act.

Every time I see players trying to carry that most awkwardly-shaped behemoth monstrosity, I genuinely fear for the safety of all in the vicinity.
