The best thing about the Miss State game was that 4th and 7 bomb.

This is an SEC opponent on the mf road.

I think it was 10-0.

I watched JD and company trot out there and I said "what in the frick?".

Then dude comes out and drops that fricking Hiroshima level nuke on the defense. No hesitation, no timeout, no trying to make them jump.

Just a nice punch in the face. We need MORE of that. A lot more.

I missed everything but the TD catch and didn't catch the 4 & 7 until the replay after the catch. What a BIG SACK call!!!!!

I’m impressed with Kelly’s consistent approach to being aggressive.

It’s a double edged sword, but it speaks to the confidence he has in his team.

When you win, you win big. When you lose, you count on the team to bail you out.

Tough ask in game one, but I don’t blame him at all.

The pylon cam was a beautiful shot. We have only seen a handful of throws by an LSU QB that equal or surpass the quality of that one.

Me and my dad were catching parts of the game on my cell phone during my son‘s soccer game on Saturday. We luckily were watching when they trotted out on that fourth and seven and we couldn’t believe it. When they dropped that bomb the two of us screamed so loud lol, all the soccer moms and dads were giving us lots of funny looks. I live in Clemson country so you know…..

I agree with you but that one was an easy decision for Kelly.

You are on the 33 so It’s a 50 yard field goal and Ramos’s career long is 47 and you definitely aren’t going to punt there if it goes into the endzone it’s only a net of 13 yards.

That plus your QB had been playing great and the defense had shut down everything State was doing.

One thing about Brian Kelly is he sure likes to go for it in risky situations: went for two against Bama in overtime when damn near the whole stadium let out a collective “WTF”, went for it a couple questionable times against FSU, then with Miss State. Thankfully most of them have worked out in our favor. I love the aggressive stance but my heart can’t take many more of those .

That was the ultimate confidence on offense when you line up & know they can’t stop it

Wrong I was in the stadium and almost everyone around me was like hell yes let’s when it now.

My favorite part of this is there was never any hesitation. When Daniels scored the offense immediately huddled up. They knew what they were doing and were ready to go.

The Tennessee game is when it didnt work out last year but even Kelly said it himself he could have been less aggressive and made the game closer. He also said he was never going to win the game that way and needed to be aggressive. I respect that.

And MSU had like single digit offensive numbers…

Coach has been going on fourth down in every game. That’s a sign folks! And these are not desperation calls from not having a kicker. It’s the confidence and preparation we’re witnessing.

Analytics said to go for it there. You are in no man's land with a accurate, but not overly powerful kicker, and your defense is playing lights out.

It was great because lately we're on the wrong end of that junk.

That came out of left field! Tigers were only up 10-0 at the time; pure balls by Kelly, with a magnificently executed plan.

That after FSU, I was pretty sure we’d regressed and we’re done.

I hope that was an unlocking of the parking brake on the Hype Train, because after that play I started shoveling in the coal.
