I don’t know the rules in the deep corners of the pro rule book, but as a matter of actual fact, that was a touchdown.

Inadvertent Whistle was blown.

I THOUGHT I heard a whistle, but nothing was said about it so I assumed I was mistaken.

It appears the DB stopped upon hearing the whistle.

I noted that too, but then decided there had not been enough time for the whistle to have registered with the DB.

Still surprised there was no review.

A rule is a rule and that is the cardinal sin by an official. The Bengals may have scored anyway, who knows? Also, it was the second quarter and the Raiders had plenty of time to overcome it. THe Bengals seemed to lose their intensity on offense along the way. The "Double J" is still in effect - Joe to Ja'MArr - what a weapon. I am happy for them.

Maybe they feel there should’ve been a technicality in their favor, but the whistle was blown a split second before it was caught. It literally made no difference in the outcome of the play.

I thought the DB quit when he realized he was out of position and it was a sure TD. Knew there was nothing he could do and whistle probably had zero impact.

I am also interested in how the league explains away New York not enforcing the rule on replay.

They won by seven. Take away the td but give them a fg, they win by three.

the Raiders have to feel cheated.

They feel cheated that a legit TD was not taken away from the Bengals due to an idiot ref? Welp, sorry bitches.

It’s really not possible to say. Had that TD been taken away everything after would have been different

Maybe the Bengals win by 3, maybe they end up winning by 10. Maybe the Raiders win

Then the Raiders on that last drive only need a FG to tie or TD to win. Huge difference in their playcalling on the final drive.

Would change the way the Bengals play defense as well if you're into playing stupid what if scenarios based on your retarded interpretation of what happened in this game. You are quickly becoming a top 5 worst poster here. way to go.

Retarded is saying Bengals win by 3. May have went to OT, and who knows the outcome.

Bottom line they got it right. It was a touchdown and the whistle while technically wrong and inadvertent did not change the outcome of that play. Too bad the Saints didn’t have this crew when we got cheated against the Rams. That no call was about the worst I’ve ever seen in such a critical point in a game. It probably cost the Saints a second super bowl win.

The fact you wanted an accidental whistle that did not change the outcome of the play whatsoever to completely impact the game to the fullest extent is idiotic. The way it was left was the right decision the fricking whistle was blown right before it hit his hands,it didn’t change shite. That would have been horrible to take that away and a complete joke.Go kick rocks

IF you watch the replay, the whistle was blown when the football was within 3 feet of the WR. The Raiders were still playing and could not get to the ball anyway.
They act like the whistle was blown when the ball was 3 feet out of Burrows hand. It was not blown at that time.
Technically the blown whistle did not affect the play.
Also, technically according to the NFL rulebook the play would be replayed. The Bengals would have run more time off of the clock, and possible score a TD or at worst a FG.
They could have run another minute off of the clock. This would have given the Raiders one minute less time when trying to score at the end of the game. Who knows if they would have gotten in FG range with one minute less time.
