Inadvertent Whistle was blown. By NFL rules the play was dead before the catch was made. Will be interesting to see the NFL's statement after NEW YORK ruled it a TD. Happy for Joe, Chase, and the Bengals getting the W, but the Raiders have to feel cheated.

Well if they went by the rule they would have stolen a TD from the Bengals, so the play ended up like it should have.

Glad it worked in Burrow’s favor. But Jerome Boger needs to retire.

By rule they had it wrong but it would’ve been a travesty to call that back. Burrow was clearly in bounds and the receiver was wide open with the ball a few feet from his hands when the whistle was blown. That late inadvertent whistle didn’t change that play whatsoever.

Then later awarded a timeout to Las Vegas that took away a huge play for the Bengals without a whistle being blown so both teams kind of got screwed in different ways

So the Raiders should feel cheated by the fact that the Bengals got cheated, but didn't really?? That whistle was contemporaneous with the ball leaving Joe's hand, if not a tic after. The true result of the play was what was recorded.

This. The whistle blew like a nanosecond before the catch. Shouldn’t let some ref’s mistake cost a team a touchdown. It’s actually the type of shite they would have called the other way against the Saints.

It appears the DB stopped upon hearing the whistle. Should have been a TD, and no whistle should have been blown. My point is NY had the chance to uphold their rule and didn't. I would like hearing how they explain it all away now after the fact.

The gave the Raiders a free 15 yards on their last possession with that bogus roughing the passer call.

Horrible to point out a rule everyone in tHe NFL knows about but wasn't enforced after the NFL replay, when everyone watching the game heard that WHISTLE?

I don’t know that they feel cheated, that ball was literally an inch from his hands when the whistle was blown. It had absolutely zero impact on the outcome of that particular play. I understand rules are rules and the play should’ve been redone, but I don’t know how they can feel “cheated”. They got burned on that for a touchdown and that was evident.

But I think she did, I’ll go back to the no call pass interference between the Saints and the Rams a couple of years ago. That is a textbook definition of being cheated.

There were plenty bad calls to go around for both teams.
The refs tried to gift the Raiders a game tying TD with that joke of a roughing the passer call.

Actually the whistle was well after the ball left Joe’s hand. It happened when the ball was literally 2-3 feet from the WR
