And so it comes down to this, a simple choice for LSU: Suspend your coach or ask us to suspend our belief. The second is not a realistic option. Even ostriches have their limits.

Yahoo just dropped a pile of dirty laundry at the university’s doorstep, a report detailing LSU coach Will Wade discussing a “strong-arse offer” for a recruit, and bemoaning that a third party might be ticked because the offer was “tilted” toward the family. The Tigers are scheduled to host Vanderbilt on Saturday, with a chance to claim at least a share of their first SEC title since 2009. From there, they will jet off to the SEC tournament in Nashville, eyeing up a 2-seed or maybe even a top seed in the NCAA Tournament.

Wade cannot be on the bench on Saturday or for the foreseeable future. So long as he is sitting in the coaching jumpseat, the Tigers will carry the stench of this report with them. So far the university has done its best tap dance, refusing comment and taking no...

Dana can go sit on a dick, I assume he's accustomed to that so probably not a fitting punishment

So a website breaks a story and we are supposed to get rid of our coach just because of some report? What has this world come to. This man hasn’t even been convicted of absolutely nothing yet. The NCAA will have their chance but until then all of these dumb arse talking heads can get the frick.

F em! They are trying to give Wade the Trump treatment. The mob is coming for LSU and Will Wade and we all have to stand strong behind them.

USATODAY says it, too.

If Saban were on the phone saying the same thing we’d all be suggesting he should be fired. Hard to suggest anything to the contrary.

He’s probably going to end up being the Hugh Freeze of basketball. Great up and coming coach, but made what appears to be a mistake, even if only in poor choice of language on an FBI recorded call, and eventually the school will cut ties with him to avoid harsh sanctions.

We should give this person courtside seats to the game Saturday when we win the SEC title and then invite them to the banner hanging ceremony. I hope we sign wade to a 10 year deal after this season. frick em

Why won’t the Atlantic, USA Today or any media outlet for that matter ask duke and Kansas to sit after wiretapping evidence clearly proves the two schools were in a bidding war for the great Zion?

IF Wade goes down, everybody’s going down. I highly doubt the powers that be are going to sit idly by and let the FBI/NCAA just make an example out of him. If the feds find concrete admissible evidence that money was exchanged then I guarantee he would be one of the first of many dominoes to fall. If they can’t and simply choose to use his testimony to bring down the bag man/Addidas guy, and the NCAA boots him on account of optics, then Pandora’s box is going to get opened too. It’s either all the other schools (he was bidding against SOMEONE else) go down with him, or he is 100% exonerated and excused with an apology.

So the ESPN writer that got laid off in 2017 is trying desperately to get back in the news main stream with these articles. That's the way I read that.

We absolutely should. Right after Coach K, Roy, and Cal sit for the tournaments. Funny how they can say that about us.

Unfortunately, the NCAA can pander to the media. Wade could be done wrong in the long term.

But...what the frick is suspended our coach going to do? Nothing.
