Which is hilarious because I've already seen some pre-cope from Ole Miss fans about LSU's $50 million roster.

Ole Miss is in for about the same amount this season.

LSU had to turn over almost the entire roster. They did not. You could argue they actually have more money per snap in this game.

Moral of the story...unless you spend a minimum of $30 million on your roster, you have very little chance of making the playoffs.

They don't have the money to sustain it more than a year or two. They can only ride the Lane hate money train for so long.

We will see what their rosters look like in the next few years. Curious to see what they look like without Chambliss.

Ole Miss needs to accept that they’re the Matt Luke of the SEC after this season.

So basically, going rate is around $35 mil a year to even get in the door.

Ole Miss was forced to overpay for key players to keep them from going to LSU. Their price was driven up in a bidding war they couldn’t lose. They won’t be able to stay that high is my guess.

Ole Miss got pissed when they lost Lane and did the equivalent of a guy at the blackjack table furiously dumping money thinking he’s going to make it back. Lane is going to ruin their blowout $40,000,000 season and they’ll be back to Clemson level with their incompetent HC by next year
