it's just a discussion board Francis, lighten up, no one cares what we think, he is a little bitch that probably needs psychiatric help but wgaf? as far as what he's done for the program? please! he's the beneficiary! no player or coach is bigger than LSU, punk needs to grow up

But it is Odell being Odell.

But he was drunk.

But he was celebrating.

But it was his place to interject himself into O's Victory Speech.

But he was defending the players when he slapped the Mall Cop.

But he is great for the program.

But he is young.

But y'all are a bunch of Boomers.

But...(fill in the blank)

How about Odell step up and speak for himself?

LSU>OBJ

I wonder why it is being reported that former players are pissed at him? Yet Rantards continue to blindly stick up for him.

He needs scorn and ridicule for his own good. Maybe this will wake him up.

For his own sake, he needs it.

Turning on their on is what LSU fans do best. Do you read this board?

My bad, I was trying to respond to the original poster.

No problem.

But, just to address your point about not giving him a pass. What do you think that means exactly? Are suggesting some sort of discipline from the school?

The recruiting capital that he has generated for LSU football and LSU in general is almost invaluable.

This topic is getting very stale so this will be my last comment...not that I have commented much before.
1) he is an attention seeking guy..from his shoes to his constant mouthing off no matter which NFL team he is on to his behavior the other night
2) don't give a shite about his LSU career...this is about his behavior NOW and what light he puts LSU in NOW!!!!!
3) if he has mental issues, he needs to get help for his condition...yes, his habitual behavior everywhere is NOT acceptable and it IS a big deal
4) perhaps the luckiest outcome for LSU will be the NCAA "forces" LSU to cut ties with him. Then, it doesn't originate from LSU and they get rid of an out of control idiot!

To use an extreme example: Do you view Florida fans as “disgusting” for distancing themselves from Aaron Hernandez?

My point is, you can love your school and your team while still having an objective view on things.

OBJ is an idiot and has put LSU in a compromising position.

That’s where I draw the line in my support for him being around the program.

Everyone has a different line I guess.

Now every sports channel you turn on is talking about OBJ and not the incredible season LSU had. He has taken the spot light off of the team and all they have done. Don't blame the fans.

Nobody, even a legend, is bigger than the program. If he has no impulse control, and can't act like an adult, and is going to harm the program, he should stay away until he can. Just like your drunk Uncle that never gets invited to family functions. It's not about fans. The onus is on Odell.

I’m not turning on Odell. I just don’t feel sorry for him. Also can still be a fan and say what he did was a dick move. We are talking more about him today than any one single player who actually suited up for LSU Monday. That’s BS.

He took not one, but two shits on the Championship just so he could be the center of attention. Put up a statue of him and tell him to stay the frick away.

He is cancer. Ban that idiot from the sideline and from the facilities. I can think of a million other people who actually bleed purple and gold who would be an actual positive influence on the team. The warrant was kind of Petty but he is a fricking retard and stealing all the limelight from those who actually won a title. He doesn't deserve 1 second on TV.

Exactly. I love my kids and they do a lot of good things, but you better believe that if they were running around getting themselves and other people in trouble I would rain fire on them no matter how excited they were or whether they meant any harm. It’s what you do when you actually care about the people involved.

Nobody wins from looking the other way on this, OBJ included. If his judgment isn’t any better than what he showed the other night, it’s only a matter of time before he crosses a line he can’t uncross.

I am not saying banned from events and even if the NCAA does not hit LSU with minor infractions, he should not be allowed on the sideline with other former LSU players who act responsibly. He can get a ticket and sit in the stands or get a pass from LSU (if Security is an issue with sports stars) and go sit in the press box.

I think my compromise is pretty reasonable.

It was his own undoing.

He’s a grown man, role model & a big rep for LSU.

The whole scene had BAD written all over it. He must own it not the fans.

Not rlly a fair comparison. Odell jus has problems in terms of his me first diva personality at times. Hernandez was a murderer who also couldn’t stay out of trouble while he’s at Florida

I really like this response and agree 100%. IMO Coach O can address simply as "we can't have you around the kids and the program in that condition. If it happens again I'm gonna have no choice but to not invite you back. I want you here. The kids want you here. But, I can't have you around if it sets a bad example." To me it's as simple as that.
