For one, don't act like it's no big deal. It is an embarrassment with the potential to affect LSU football at a time when LSU coaches, players, and fans should be enjoying the victory. A apology and a 1 year ban from contact with LSU players, 30 hours community service for feeling up the cop.

He's become a media whore. Let him do it at his expense, not LSU's.

I don't believe is a "big" deal, but also don't believe that it's just nothing to worry amount. I think the 1 year ban is excessive and that a talk/warning from Orgeron would be enough. But, the community service sounds like an excellent idea.

What if the ncaa during their investigation finds out OBJ's been handing out money after every win and LSU has to vacate all their wins and the NC? All the "it's just something he did when he was drunk, no big deal" people here will want to hang him. One day it will be a big deal, this behavior doesn't fix it's self and this wasn't at a house party, caught on a cell phone, but on the field after winning the NCG with media everywhere. I stick by the 1 year ban.

Actually, it's the same conversation - unless you're shallow as a mud puddle.

You think Odell giving some players in the heat of the moment while he's fricked up is the same thing as him handing out money after every win when he's not in attendance?

One game is the same as 15?

The cop’s not being an arse if he’s enforcing the no smoking policy in the dome. He probably could have done it in a more sensible way, but security guards are known for being rude when enforcing policy. Doesn’t matter who you are.

Perhaps OBJ could have acted like the adult and told the young players to smoke their cigars when they get outside. Yet he chose to escalate the situation.

Don’t get wrong, I wouldn’t piss on Herbstreit if he was on fire....but...uh...what he said.

Actually I just awhile ago saw video from the locker room for the first time... the cop was being an arse... it wasnt even about cigars. He was videoed harassing Damien Lewis to show him his Gatorade bottle...I guess to inspect for alchohol.. after that kept hassling him to show him other belongings. There is no reason in hell to hassle kids who just achieved a national title like that...OBJ still acted an arse, but that footage made me side w him a bit

OP, you are wrong.... because he made more than one DUMB MISTAKE. By my count, at least 3.

1. Handing out cash to players in front of cameras during post game celebration.

2. Patting, slapping or touching a security guard one his butt.

3. Interjecting yourself and your comments in CEO's post game locker room speech.

This has already been disproven by people that were in the locker room. That video was spliced together like that.

Coach O had all the former players speak in the locker room and really had to press Odell to talk... Y’all go far sometimes...

Rest assured, the same wonderful "fans" would have turned on the coaching staff and the players had we not won the Clemson game. Many are already so worried about next year that they've got to blame someone for their distress. Like I said, "wonderful" fans.

He acted in the most selfish way in the post game celebration of LSU’s biggest win in program history.

He is an adult and he will be judged by his actions. He just took it too far. Cut out the money thing and the incident with the rent a cop and it would have been ok.

This is a pattern for him, he has embarrassed LSU, the fan base, and interfering in celebrating the success of the team. He needs to go in the military and realize what it takes to be a man and what sacrifice is all about.

He is acting like an ill school child. He is acting like child. Childish mindset, since of entitlement. Sad.

Allowing a non-story like this to affect your enjoyment of the game and season sounds like a you problem to me

He is a complete narcissistic attention whore. That was my assessment of him prior to this week. Imagine my assessment of him now.
