If Saban doesn't get too fancy, he runs the ball down the Aggies throat from the 5 yard line against an out-manned TAM defense in the fourth quarter.

If Alleman hits a couple easy field goals, LSU wins the Bama game.

This is asinine. You think Alabama gets all the breaks in the SEC, take a look at Texas and the Big 12. The scheduling fiasco sucks, but it's a one-time thing. It's not like Alabama has always been sidestepping the powers in the East. And it's not their fault Tennessee's program has gone in the shitter. It's absurd that we're even talking about this. Good thing it's the holidays, so maybe there's less of a chance Rabalais' shitty article gets picked up by national media.

ETA: And the status quo with Alabama being atop the conference has only been since 2008. It wasn't that long ago that the Auburn-LSU game regularly decided the West. And you don't hear Tennessee whining about having to play Alabama.

The 2012 and 2013 schedules are HEAVILY slanted in Alabama's favor. Theses schedules aren't "rotated", or luck of the draw. The original 2012 schedule had Bama playing at A&M for their first ever SEC game. Bama didn't want it, so they moved the game to Tuscaloosa later in the year. The SEC office also knows that Tennessee and Kentucky both suck, and that Florida and Georgia are both very good, yet they have no problem giving Bama a yellow brick road to the SECCG, while LSU has to face the toughest road possible.

You act as if you have to play in these games!

I am not suggesting for one second that LSU leave the SEC, hell we forged it. I just want them to get their due and not be slighted in certain aspects hence Joe reaching between his legs, squeezing a little harder and getting us our due.

I agree to a lesser extent. tSEC office needs to be relocated out of Alabama. The officials cheat and the cross-division rivalries punish the majority of the conference for the benefit of a few teams. It was stupid to bring Mizzou in and make them play in the East.

The article has some fair points although I disagree with the recommendation.

There are a lot of LSU fans real insecure about their manhood here. The type that would rather pretend to like getting screwed in the arse than speak up and do something about it.

What a stupid, stupid thing to even talk about. We would be THE most irrelevant team in the country if that happened. TV exposure--gone. SOS--gone. Recruiting of high school stars--gone.

What type of moron actually gets paid to write this drivel?

There's a reason Rabalais' article on leaving the SEC was front page headlined on the first page of the sports section and his counter point article was posted on the inside, second page. He was just stirring shite during a slow period of sports stories. No one in the athletic dept is even dreaming bout this. That large check LSU gets every Spring from the league office guarantees LSU will never leave. Rather than wasting your time ranting against Slive & the League office, focus on complaining to the BOS bout Alleva. It's possible to get him booted; SEC fans have absolutely no say so as to what happens, or does not happen, in the League office.

How about putting up a fight and calling out Slive and the SEC before pondering any drastic steps. Seems we've been too quiet about this.
That would be Alleva's silence. He forgets the SEC plays hardball, not like back in the days of Duke/ACC gentlemanly dealings.

LSU needs to slide its chair a little closer to the table, man up and grab someone by the throat and demand we get a fair share of what we built.

This. Leaving the SEC is not the answer. Telling Joe Alleva to grow a set is. If he can't, then get an AD that can. LSU has become one of the most consistently successful programs in the country in the last decade plus. We should be expanding our brand, not playing wetnurse to Alabama.
