Not if you realize the actual point of the article.

The SEC has been good about 'make up' calls in the past. They owe us a few next year.

we really don't have any place to go. the big 12 would be a big downer with trips to waco, lubbock, manhattan kansas, etc. the ACC would be better if they could get their shite together. i wouldn't mind playing vatech, miami, fsu and clemson every year and the roundball revenues would be huge. we would also strenghen the ACC. i think it should at least be considered. getting defeated time after time after time by the alabama based sec is getting tiring. the sec needs to at least throw us a bone; losing the bowl battles and the scheduling battles, temporary and permanent stinks.

This guy wants us to leave the SEC because of the special treatment that Bama gets, but wants us to join the Big XII despite the special treatment that Texas gets.

Makes sense.

No, actually the guy wrote two articles, one discussing the pros and another the cons of staying in the SEC.

Here is the article on the pros: LINK

Selfishly, I'd love to see LSU in the B12, with road games within a pretty short drive to Ft. Worth, Waco, Austin, etc.

However, it would take the B12 eliminating the option for schools to have their own network & equal revenue sharing, neither of which Texass would allow. They are the B12 version of Bammer with how they are catered to.

It would be interesting to think about both LSU & UArk leaving for the B12.

LSU needs to slide its chair a little closer to the table, man up and grab someone by the throat and demand we get a fair share of what we built. That just takes the man sitting in our seat, to NUT UP. I do believe it is BS that we wound up where we did in the post season,
Great thought, but none of that is going to happen with the current Director of Athletics presently employed by Louisiana State University. If the guy wasn't doing a pretty good job at getting Tiger Stadium refurbished, he'd be a prime candidate for the ole "Adios Amigo" treatment. He doesn't have the acorns to stand up and fight for L.S.U..

As for L.S.U. joining the Big 12, that's total BS. Wanna stick it to the S.E.C. and succede, then get together with Arkansas, Oklahoma, Oklahoma.State and ALL the Texas schools to reform the SOUTHWESTERN CONFERENCE. That could potentially work if the problems with the arrogant University of Texas could be solved.

I do not want to leave the SEC but only because there is nothing out there that would be better for LSU. I do however love the article because it points out issues that need fixing!

Just because there is no better place to move to doesn't mean there is nothing wrong with where you are at currently!

Took years to get a NCAA champion in football where as there never was one before the BCS. Took awhile to approve a tournament but that finally happened as well. So this might take a while also but the uneven playing field might eventually be fixed if people will keep the heat on, on this issue as well.

It would be interesting to partner with either Arkansas or Ole Miss and put a proposal out to both the BIG XII or SEC and see who gives us the better deal. It may be lucrative. Where is Miles' agent to help with this?

We should leave the SEC.

Alabama will always be strong. Texas A&M looks to be a force just like Alabama. We may not like another conference, but we can go undefeated in another conference and play for a NC.

Joe Alleva is about as good of an example of a suck up, company "yes man" - as there ever was. I've said this from day one. Yeah, he's made things happen here, but he's a fricking wet vagina when it comes to standing up for LSU. Skip was light years ahead of Alleva in that category.

Skip is a LSU man and does the best possible for our beloved School. Alleva is today's flavor and could care less about standing up for LSU against the SEC officials. Remember how Alleva caved to the press concerning the Duke Lacross team allegations to later find out he was wrong for doing so. Alleva is political and that's does not bode well for LSU.

I was talking more about the few members of our fanbase that are actually saying we should leave the SEC.

Do you really go to U High in Baton Rouge and root for the Crimson Tide? That school really needs to screen better.
