Watch how Florida's OC schemes according to what the defense does

This is how a real O.C. makes adjustments.

I am waiting for Les to shoulder the blame and find a real O.C.
re: So Louisville can drive the field on Florida

Florida allowed 95 points in the SEC. LSU allowed 150 points in the SEC.
I was a Miles supporter when the ranter Nation wanted him tar and feathered after the Ole Piss fiasco and the Tennessee pull a rabbit out of your hat luck out.
Last second mistakes or brain freezes happen to everyone. However, what Miles is doing now is nuts.
Miles thinks he can design a top-10 offensive scheme, but he is totally incompetent.

Yes, they won, I was there, but it was nothing our D couldn't handle until they were gassed from being on the field for the entire damn game.
Do you think the nine 3 & OUTs had anything to do with our defense getting gassed?
How much did Smoke accomplish before we realized he was clueless?
Posted by TigerDice on 1/2/13 at 7:49 pm
It took me a few years before I realized Smoke was treading water with great talent.
Les is doing the same thing with our offensive talent--was treading water, but now is starting to sink.

Clemson's DC said LSU's idea of misdirection is a play-action pass?

Face it, our offense is less sophisticated than a lot of high school offenses.
re: If Les gives a New OC COMPLETE control and Keeps Chavis: What's His Job?

Let me take a blind stab in the dark and guess head coach.
What is the answer? :dunno:

LSU lost last night because Miles is clueless about the offense.
Posted by TigerDice on 1/2/13 at 6:47 pm
Miles has lost his mind if he continues without finding a qualified offensive coordinator.
re: What will it take for you to be excited about football next season?
Posted by TigerDice on 1/2/13 at 6:24 pm to Chuck U Farley
As long as Miles keeps control of the offense, the program will gradually decline--too bad.

All of the crap on this board is focusing on the last 2 plays of the drive...
Second guessing play calls is usually blind 20/20 hindsight, and irrelevant.
Our offense does nothing to scheme plays for an advantage in numbers or leverage. That is way too advanced for Miles.
We need a big time OC in full control and nothing less. We will never achieve a top 10 offense with Miles calling the shots on offense.

Clemson fans bitch non-stop about not being able to run power/iso/etc. like Bama and LSU do.
We have been winning by wearing down teams with our depth of talent, but that will take you only so far.
When teams learn to stack the box with 8 and 9 on defense, most rushing attacks can be stopped. Defenses can only do that if there is no passing threat.

I have to salute your QB for taking a tremendous beating all night and kept throwing strikes--no fear!
But face it, our offense is down right brain dead.

re: What is wrong with LSU's running game?
Posted by TigerDice on 1/2/13 at 3:14 pm to CalTiger53
Running into the teeth of the defense is brain dead.
Our offense does not scheme to gain an advantage in numbers or leverage. Just bunch up and run straight ahead.

Do you think chavis tells Stud to man up and do a better job?
If I was the Chavis, I would ask Miles if he was planning to bring in a new O.C.

Sam Montgomery left everything he had on the field.
Miles' offensive philosophy is the problem, not our great defense.
We will stop attracting top flight talent like Montgomery if Miles doesn't make a change.

Brush up on Finger Math. He would have to use more than one hand to count first downs on his fingers more often.
It would free him up to keep track of the time clock and how many timeouts we have left.

Can you count to 100?

They make a stop on 4th and 17 this is a non-issue
The issue remains 3 out of 13 third down conversions. That is the issue. Our offense got stuffed by an ACC defense. That is the issue.

ACC team physically wore down SEC team.
ATLANTA – LSU fell off the physical cliff over the final 1:39 of its 25-24 upset loss to Clemson Monday night in the Chick-fil-A Bowl.
Clemson completion, LSU player down with cramps … Clemson first down, LSU player down with cramps … Clemson nearing game-winning field goal, LSU player down with cramps … Clemson kicks game-winning field goal as time expires, LSU down and out.
Montgomery was flat on his back when he pulled Boyd down for the 6-yard loss. But Boyd got back up and completed a 26-yard pass to wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins, who again beat cornerback Tharold Simon. Hopkins would catch two more off Simon for 20 yards and was interfered with by free safety Eric Reid for another first down in the drive. Hopkins finished with 13 receptions for 191 yards and two touchdowns.
Montgomery was one of several LSU players who collapsed on that last drive. Reid was another, as was.strong safety Craig Loston.
"When I laid down out there, I was so tired and so hurt," Montgomery said. "It's a hard thing on the defense to play 100 plays."
