2019 LSU didn't truly become 2019 LSU until they beat UGA, Oklahoma, and Clemson
lot of people forget that we, as an overall team, started slow that year, o-line was a little iffy at first, as was the defense, Burrow and the skill guys were so good it allowed the team to jell and improve around them from week to week

Can we also look at minutes played by starters?

How many ranked teams has Miami played?

LSU didn't get bailed out by the refs 2 games in a row

The only game LSU almost lost that year was Bama. Every other game was a blowout. Tell me how many games Miami has almost lost to mediocre competition this season?

This thread isnt even good comedy. There may come a time when people looking at the accomplishment of the 2019 team lose perspective about the level of competition LSU faced but it will be another decade or so except only to the ignorant.

The Bama game was never in doubt. The only game that year that I was sweating was Auburn of all of them. Took us to the wire.

Compare strength of schedule. Our boys fought through the SEC and killed them all. You point out stats matter well if we played that schedule in 2019 what would our yard passing and rushing be? Always have to look at schedule.

Yes, they do. It’s 2020 Alabama.
2019 Alabama was better at virtually every position group.

I don’t remember 19 LSU trailing by 11 to Duke in the second half.
I don’t remember 19 LSU barely surviving multiple early season games.

Let me know when they score 49 points in the first half of the semi finals college football playoff

To be fair Auburn was close but Bama was a beat down they just made it look closer than it was.

Texas was a sweat. If the miracle 3rd and 17 TD doesn't happen, the Longhorns had a good chance to win

They have not played near the competition! If JB had that schedule we would be so far ahead nobody would ever eclipse it
