We faced Eli Jones in both games Vs USCe. He pitched one inning in game 1 and gave up 2 earned runs. In game 2, he took the L pitching one inning and gave up one earned run.

Not saying he’s great, but look up Hurd’s SEC stats. They are much worse than what you just listed.

IDK about that. He wasn’t great against is last month. CJJ showing some real trust giving him the ball against a team they would like to send to the losers bracket. Could be pushing the right button.
