I enjoyed watching that game man. Team never let them get too close and kept stopping their runs with good defense. Team handled the press and time well. Shooting was really on and more important kept getting offensive rebounds when needed. Proud for LSU.

I loved seeing our play in transition. Not just once, but several times we played quick, threw oops, great passes etc and converted. The team plays well together and hopefully will continue to improve. Mckinnon bailed us out from 3

ETA: And while we are at it, it was a good win, but lets not sit here and pretend SMU is a great team. They beat the two worst teams in the SEC, needing OT to finish off both. Realistically they are team 6 or 7 at best in a very weak ACC

Whoever said they are a perennial tournament team, just LOL. SMU has made the dance 2 times in the last 30 years. And not once in the past 7 seasons.

you sound like a legit douche...and it is comical how you think you are a basketball expert but others know nothing. There is a difference in this year's team....some of us ignorant basketball fans can see that. Ashamed that you knowledgeable basketball fans can't.

Yep, this was a good win, and very important for their confidence. We showed we could play with Sutton at the 5, and Tamba at the 4. Tamba was a shocker. He made some very athletic plays, and showed better finishing skills than I thought he had. Plus he plays tough defense and attacked the boards. Sutton played great, and that’s what he has to do consistently for this team to be good. The team defended pretty well overall. If it can keep up that defensive energy, with their shooting ability, we will have a very good season.

My only concern is the 3 ball. No one else is stepping up besides Max. Max was on fire, but it’s unrealistic to count on that. We need others to become reliable 3 point shooters. Zipper came in and seemed to do his job. He was open a bunch of times, but they didn’t pass him the ball to try to get a 3 off. I didn’t understand that, and it makes me wonder if there is something going on behind the scenes that could be a problem.

LOL. I knew if I came here there would still be the usual bitches trying to downplay any win. And no McMahon didn’t have a full roster when he got here. Naturally players did what they do when a coach leaves. They leave. The win last night was more impressive considering their 2nd best player sat the bench the entire 1st half yet had the lead at halftime. That is a result of coaching. The offense was constantly moving setting picks both on and off the ball. Yes they still need another 3 to step up. King , Carter and Miller need to do more when they are in but LSU controlled this game from start to finish. That is a good statement coming off the Texas Tech loss where we competed with them the second half and that effort continued last night. Sutton started to take the ball to the hole in second half of TT and continued that against SMU. He is a problem because he had inside and outside game. Hopefully he continues to be aggressive moving forward.
