Best game atmosphere i have been a part of. Tiger Stadium was absolutely rocking.
I was unbelievably impressed with how nice and hospitable LSU fans were this weekend. Met some fantastic people, and got shite talked maybe twice. We sat in the LSU section and the LSU fans around us couldnt have been nicer. Just straight up good folks. Probably helped that my date was an LSU girl, but still. The game was a classic, and we were lucky as hell to get out of there with a win. It was a fantastic experience.
My buddy took this picture at the game, thought I'd share.

It's funny how when people actually go to a game in Tiger Stadium.. and not just hear bullshite stories.. they go home thinking how nice and crazy the fans were and awesome it was.

I posted something about this in a thread you were in last night. But, just to recap, and, at the risk of making this too much of a slurp-a-thon, I was blown away by the Alabama fans I sat near last night. I made sure to shake the hands of the ones I talked to/cheered against after the game because I had gained that much respect for them. This is what I posted in that other thread.

The Alabama fans I sat next to in 635 couldn't have been better. I never would have expected that. We kind of kept our distance through the first 2 quarters, but, once we took control in the 3rd and 4th, I had numerous conversations with them as they complimented LSU and Mettenberger. Even after all of that, I thought their inner Gump would take over after they scored the winning TD, however I was wrong. I shook multiple hands and was congratulated on an excellent game by several Alabama fans in the stands and on the way out.
The entire weekend, and last night's game was the best of what College Football has to offer, IMO.
ETA: Awesome pic.

Hope you come back and glad you had a good time

Cheers, it was a great game. In the end, visiting fans are always our guests here, as long as they aren't rude/disrespectful they can expect nothing but generous hospitality.

Bama fans are by far the best visiting fans. I've never seen them act like asses. Ok admitting that almost made me
OP- glad you enjoyed TS on a Saturday night

They wouldn't be saying such nice things if they had lost. It's a lot easier to be gracious when you win.

You get a chance to check out Spanish Moon last night?

This
Sucks we can't have a rematch unless there is a complete collapse in the rankings

I did not. We got into town later than expected. We went to one bar that I cannot remember the name of, and then went one called Chelseas(I think) that was across the street from the first bar. It was a good time.

As a general rule, LSU fans are hospitable and nice. Every fan base has some drunken jerks, including us.
We often travel to away games. I've taught my family that if we are seated in an opponents section, we cheer but don't get too crazy out of respect to our hosts. Win or lose, we quietly exit and save our celebrating for the car or when we are with exclusively Tiger fans. Exhibit last year in Tuscaloosa.
But something about Tiders. Last night numerous fans, were exitingTS with whoops and yells as they mingle in alarge numbers of Tigers. A 50ish couple were walking along side us and the guys was breaking out in fits of delerium. As I politely suggested to him that he might want to save the celebration for a more favorable crowd, his wife became indignant. Began to tell us how rude we were. These weren't college kids or tattooed bar flys. They probably attend First Baptist Church of Redneck City, Alabama.
What's with the RTR arrogance and holier than thou attitude?
I'm sick of their crap and sure would be sticking it in their face this week (never have before) had we not pulled the bonehead play calls and lost!
