Have an upvote sir, the program was headed downward under Les Miles , now at least we can see a path forward to go up. Get a new OC in here and another great recruiting class and we will beat the Gumps on their turf.

9-4 (6-2) Bowl loss
9-3 (5-3) Bowl TBD

What path going up are you seeing?

Les got ran out for that path.

Les was fired for this; hell, why did LSU waste all that money to fire him if this was a great season?

. Les needed to be out to pasture, his time was over here. He will lead Kansas to 7 and 8 win seasons and they’ll be happy. Get over it, O is not Les, not by a long shot. Until LSU admins are willing to pay $49M for a head coach for seven years, even if he gets fired, LSU will never have a big name coach. This is not O’s fault, it’s the admins, but actually I agree with them, paying that much for a football coach is ridiculous. Jimbo will will 10 games or less for 5 years at ATM and they will, have paid all that money for nothing.

I’ve seen the special Ed’s saying how LSU is going to blow them out and it won’t even be a contest. Delusion at ts finest.

Really? I've seen the exact opposite.

I guess I'll wait to see how things pan out.

I agree Les should be gone, but so should O.

He’s on the same path. He hasn’t won 10 reg season games for two seasons. Lost more SEC games this year than last year.

It doesn’t bother me like it does most of you. They won the game. I’m good. I’m not acting like the coaching staff murdered my kitten for 9 months. Because rest assured, that’s what most of you will be doing until kickoff next year.

How dare you speak with such facts, the special Ed’s have proven before O, the program was about to implode and now O has brought it back from the depths of hell with an exciting 5-3 sec record

We know Les needed to go, but we didn’t upgrade, so back to this “upward path” you see.
Looks like the same path to me

Plodding offense statically ranked above 100 out of 117
Couldn’t recruit or develop a QB
“Program manager”
Stupid press conferences and gameplans
Owned by fricking Arkansas
Owned by Bama in a national championship game where he gave up at halftime

Yeah, we were really moving up we were headed downward , and fast. He should’ve been fired 2 years earlier and we would’ve had a chance for a really good coach.

Sorry so long, and I'm sure most will not read this, but...

While I agree with your post, LSU is making progress compared to where Miles left us. We could all see the downward spiral that LSU was in during his last few years, and Orgeron exceeded expectations, and is seemingly addressing areas of need. This was a tough schedule, and LSU is rebuilding. The season should be deemed a success.

I, like most, was disappointed in his firing of Canada and hiring of Ensminger, but this is year one under Ensminger with a brand new QB and loss of Derrius Guice. We should be willing to see if he's able to adapt and improve the offense going forward. If not, that's when the direction of the program should be fairly criticized. LSU fans expectations sometimes are unrealistic. EVERYONE who calls themselves LSU fans wants LSU to be great, but if you realize that some historically great programs with coaches that are assumed to be superior to O are in worse shape than LSU, it keeps you from seeming like you just hate Orgeron.

All of the pac 12, Penn State, Wisconsin, FSU, and Miami. Would you trade places with them? Only program who can say they are on the same level as LSU this year would be UW, and look at their season with losses to unranked Auburn, Oregon and Cal. With LSU's schedule UW probably has one or two more losses. The SEC has turned into a miniature version of the NFL, and Saban/Bama are like the Pats/Bellichick. It's a damn grind, and LSU showed this year that they are up there with the playoff contenders.

I give O credit for a Fiesta Bowl trip. That’s exciting!! A NY6 bowl!

But will you also give him credit for having our team underprepared for A&M and UF (and not blame the refs as the sole cause of that A&M loss)?

You’re setting yourself up for serious disappointment (or creative excuse-making) next year, when, once again, there’s no improvement.

I saw this “Next Year U” show too many times under Les, and it’s the same show under Orgeron.

LSU didn’t score a single point against Alabama. But keep ignoring that.

Refs unequivically cost us the TAMU game. 5 50/50 calls going against LSU all of which end the game. All that analysis about why the calls were "correct" is rubish. LSU gets just one of those calls and they win. Period.

I'm not upset at the 'next year U' stuff. LSU always hs talent. There's usually reasons to look at the next year and feel some hope / optimism.

Until the offense gets fixed, however, we have to hope for a 2011 type anomaly at best. Otherwise, LSU's offense will directly cost the team 2-3 games a year every year, just like it has since 2009.

I don't understand the fans who are okay with 100th + ranked offenses. Complacency and apathy towards the offense is why the administration / coaching staff feels like they can get away with status quo.

And there is no good reason why LSU did not get at least one of those calls. Just one of those calls and LSU wins. Just one.

I know, I suffered through it as well. I will not excuse that offensive performance, but LSU's offense also unexpectedly destroyed #5 UGA. Ensminger's offense has been underwhelming against teams that have good Defensive lines. He needs to adjust his scheme to account for teams that can push the line of scrimmage. I'd rather hope they figure it out, than to suffer more by wringing my hands before giving O and E a chance to fix it.

The SEC reminds me of the NFL. Look at the Saints vs Rams and the Saints vs Cowboys. I'm not comparing the offense/defense of the Saints with LSU, but just the way the SEC games can have so much parity now. With the exception of Bama, every SEC team layed an egg or 2 this year. IMO LSU is showing signs of progress, and based on the finish this year, it could mean 10-12 wins next year.
