Instead going to wait for Pro Day. Any particular reason for this? I know Combine 40 times are generally slower than Pro Day times. Does anyone think he might he worried his time will hurt his stock?

Also a little surprised at how short he measured. 6'1 7/8. Don't know exactly what the average TE height is but that definitely seems on the shorter side.

The guy was knocking people off while blocking. His blocking skills are a key weapon for us this season

Chaisson isn’t either from what I read

One theory is they have changed a few of the workout drills and agents are telling some of their guys to wait & see how they go for combine participants.

In Moss’ case it could be that he wants to run on a faster surface. He’s going to need every tenth. Also possible he wants to catch balls from Burrow & no one else (not sure yet where joe will throw yet, just guessing)

I don't think Moss is going to test well

1. Coming back isn’t going to make him taller
2. He was a damn good blocker this season, what games were you watching?

Thinking he should've come back and enjoyed football while he can. He's too short and slow to make it in the NFL.

More and more players are choosing to not participate fully in the drills at the combine because those are controlled by the league and you are one in a large crowd. Instead, they wait for their pro day which is controlled by their school and they are part of a smaller group.

He mentioned in an interview that he's definitely throwing at pro day but whether he does at the combine is undecided

Faster surface/times at LSU Pro day will help. More comfortable throwing with his own QB. It is a trend with the Combine now. When you are judged by a stop watch and a tenth of a second can mean millions of dollars, I see the player's side on this.

I think Chaisson was probably going to excel in the speed and explosion drills but get exposed some in the agility drills. So I can see why he's skipping, although it's risky

His tape is not something he can exclusively live on to be a definite 1st Rounder imo

I don't blame him for not participating. The NFL Combine makes idiots out of some of the smartest people in football. They become enamored by athletic ability, 40 times, hand size and height instead of placing most of their stock on the film study.

Agree. I think it all comes down to when you have to explain to your owner why a pick worked/didn't work, it's easier to justify drafting and giving a huge signing bonus to a guy who measured well vs. an average tester who is simply a good football player, but maybe under sized, smaller school, etc.

I believe the biggest factor in Tigers not participating in the combine is the timing. These guys literally have <5 weeks to prepare for the biggest physical interview of their career and they will be compared to some freakish athletes who spent the last 8-12 weeks preparing.

By nature of making it to the Title game, they were at a disadvantage from a drill standpoint. No need to put a 1/2 arse performance out there to be judged and critiqued when everyone else had a leg up.
