This guy is kind of a joke, so probably a good sign for us.

Maybe the Texas fans just aren't used to seeing teams going better than 8-4

Secondary is still bad. Still no legit pass rushers from the EDGE/DL room

I've heard the secondary looks much better (doesn't mean good) and that Jones has looked incredible and to remember the name Kolaj Cobbins.

He is basing everything on last years stats. This Blake Baker Defense will not look like the House defense.

Well, he’s a Longhorn, so the air of entitlement is inherently present.

Let me try my hand at this too...

"I just don't see it with Texas this year. Ewers is a fine QB, but he has no WRs to throw to.

They have no RBs, their secondary is still god awful, and they've got a project on the DL because they graduated their 2 best players and their coach came over to the good guys.

Schedule of Michigan, OU, Georgia and A&M screams 8-4 to me."

Did I do that right?

I’d add that there’s no game breakers at WR.

that you know of.

We still have an elite OL.and we have a RB who has all SEC potential.

If we don't outrun USC, I think we lose. Their secondary is the strength of their defense. We have got to run it down their throats.

nobody is expecting a heisman year for nuss. nobody is expecting the #1 offense in the country again.

nuss should do well. i expect a top 20 offense.

d was ranked last year in the 100's

a top 60 or top 50 defense is what i expect and will be a huge improvement

i have faith we will grind a way into the playoffs and make this a fun, exciting year. playoffs makes it a successful year.

no more east/west divisions. so now the top 2 seeds play in atlanta? meh. might as well go back to old days in 80s when we crowned the SEC champ based on SEC regular season record. SECCG was great up until now. with a 12 team playoff WGAF anymore. this is NFL season now if you go deep in playoffs. more games cause more chance for injuries.

I like that they’re an independent site so they can just be straight homers

These Texas fans/insiders are gonna be more annoying than A&M, aren’t they?

I don't listen to anyone's opinion in media or on this board, because they have no clue how this team is going to perform.

It doesn't take an expert though to think that this defense will be way better than last year and CBK has proven he can put a high octane offense on the field. I believe this is a playoff team that's going to surprise alot of people.

They probably are, but a team doesn't need a Heisman level QB for success.

They could be true, but it's funny how he sees other teams' possible weaknesses, but not his own. Im not going to put words into his mouth because i haven't read anything from him, but if he has Texas in the SEC championship year one like many of the other idiots, everything he says is either disingenuous or foolish.

Texas lost 6 of their top 7 pass catchers including their top 5 pass catchers (3 of them were drafted really high). They lost their starting RB, and the backup who became the starting RB after he got hurt, this fall camp. Their secondary was complete trash last year (2 spots higher than LSU), and did nothing in the portal to address it. They lost the two best players on their DL (both top draft picks), and their DL coach who built them up. Quinn Ewers has missed games in back to back years and Arch Manning is overrated.

I don't want to hear anybody from Texas throwing stones in a glass house.

It's something to discuss. Just like the idiots who kept saying Bo Nix and Michael Penix were better than Daniels.

I think Saban is trying to get back into LSU fans good graces, but also he wouldn't hurt his own reputation spouting nonsense either.

I could definitely see Nuss throwing for more yds than JD strictly because Nuss won’t run near as often as JD would. I can see Nuss getting to 4,000 yds passing.

Daniels had 3800 passing yards in 12 games. He averaged 11.7 yards per attempt. Let's say Nuss averages 9.7 yards per attempt, which would have ranked 5th in the country last year. Nuss would still need 65 more passes than Daniels to equal him. That's 5.4 passes per game extra over a 12 game season. If LSU is going to be pounding the rock a lot, i don't see Nuss throwing the ball 33 times a game. And that's if he's 5th in yards per attempt. At 9 yards per attempt (12th in the country), he would need 95 more passes.

It's like TD, except those goobers try to make money off of it and put their names out there for everyone to laugh at.
