There is no way in hell that any college coach would call a hit and run on a 3-1 count. It's absolutely pointless. If the batter doesn't swing, it's ball 4. Nobody.. and I mean nobody calls a hit and run in that situation. If you think Mainieri called one right there then you just want a reason to complain about Mainieri.
