Yeah, you have a point.

The reason he didn't is because he needed to put more on film

My point was more of it being a culture problem at lsu.

Lol, ok my friend. Somehow you have insight into my mindset and where I work. You still haven’t said what you do, which lets me know it’s not much, if anything at all and that’s ok

But we were talking LSU football here, sorry if your feelings were hurt. Do you have something to add to this discussion or just looking for upset about something?

Smart decision, his work at LSU is done at this point. Can't wait to watch him at the next level.

It is not against the rules and he has every right to do what he wants to do. It's an argument of character. Some of you are completely cool with these guys whoring themselves out for a year or two and then bailing on their team. You have every right to your opinion on that matter.

But a lot of us don't see it that way. And we're not wrong and neither are you.

I don't feel the need to call TM names, however this "whole business" decision stuff is crap. Should every good player quit when there team isn't playing for a championship? I am sorry but opting out or quitting on your team after you committed to come back and play is not something I would call a good decision and if I were a GM I wouldn't draft any player who quit on a team after committing to be there.

I don't wish him any ill will but I sure the heck am not gonna applaud him if this turns out to be true.

Terrance Marshall made a business decision

Ok

Makes his team meeting speech, 2 weeks ago, about coming together, buying in, playing for pride completely hollow

Yep nothing left for him to play for. He can only hurt himself playing the rest of the season.

Respect. I appreciate your willingness to agree to disagree without the personal attacks, as we’re all LSU fans and cheers the same team on, on Saturdays.

I know this is the rant and people will always have their differences but we all love the same university and those colors. So that ad hominem attacks aren’t necessary.

Appreciate you and your take

There are Extenuating circumstances, among them the pandemic, lack of off-season, regression in creativity of the offense or lack of scheme, attrition and QB uncertainty.

I don’t think any NFL GM is going to hold this against a top player. None of us are in TM’s shoes so it’s easier for us to say what we’d do, without any consequences no matter which side of the table you’re on

Ohio St had guys that will be high picks opt back in when the Big 10 announced it would play after all.

There is a culture problem at LSU.

Marshall made a decision along with Chase, Vincent, and Shelvin and it’s their lives, so they get to do what they want. Still makes them quitters.

Marshall needed to prove he could actually finish out a season without getting injured if he wanted to be drafted really high.

And yes he quit...no matter how you spin it.

It’s appears so. Would 0 games and him not playing at all have been better?

Look I don’t like it either. But let’s not turn on the young man and forget the great things he has done in the purple and gold.

He’ll always be a tiger and someone who played a role in the greatest season ever. Let’s never forget that and his place as a member of the LSU family.

Some of you are calling him POS and other names, which is uncalled for. I’m sure this decision was very hard for him as well and we’re likely to hear from him at some point as to what went into the decision, at least I hope.

Basically, let’s not eat our own. Recruits, current players and former players alike should all know that once they suit up in the purple and gold, no matter what they are always #ForeverLSU.

I don’t agree with the decision but the young man has earned the right to do what he thinks is best in his interest. Not that it’s equivalent but coaches do it all the time and especially if TM’s heart wasn’t in it to finish the season, I think this was the correct move, otherwise it could’ve affected the other young receivers who are still building their legacies and need that hunger that Chase and TM has last year.

What’s different about him and every other projected first rounder than played for LSU in a season they weren’t going to play for a title?
