I just find it incredibly hypocritical how some of you guys find every reason in the book to justify this program "processing" kids, but call the kids a quitter when they "process" the program... just like the coaches think its OK to tell a kid go look somewhere else its not working for you here, when he feels that kid isn't doing well enough to remain on scholarship at that university, that kid has the same right to hold the university accountable when their not operating at the standards they feel they should be playing. Right now Coach O and company are doing a terrible job coaching and the kid decided to leave, if it were the other way around half of you would be saying he's not good enough to be a tiger and telling him good luck in the transfer portal.
I find it difficult to believe that you could actually state any of that with any kind of seriousness.
There is a massive difference between quitting, and being essentially fired (cut). In all walks of life, if you don't perform, you lose your job. That's why you have to work hard and EARN it.
If the coaching staff continues to stink it up after this year, they'll all get fired, and I'd be all for it, if that were to be the case.
So what kind of ridiculous parallel are you trying to draw here? They only comparison you could make is if a coach quit mid-season. And I guarantee you, he'd hear the exact same criticism as any player would. Do you suppose that some of LSU's struggles could maybe, just MAYBE be attributed to, I don't know, players QUITTING? And our starting QB being out for most of the year? Ja'marr Chase, Tyler Shelvin, Kary Vincent, all opted out, off the top of my head, and numerous others hit the transfer portal. Now Marshall quits.
Whatever point you were trying to make missed it's mark.

I have no issue with him walking away

Terrance will lose sleep after reading this

Simply put: He quit on his team, he quit on his coaches, he quit on the fans and worse, he quit on himself.

He’s a quitter plan and simple. Can’t see how this improves his draft stock. Pitiful

isn't walking away when the season should have been technically over? Why play deep into December because of the Pando problems?
Posted on 11/30/20 at 8:11 am to LaRaider92
This was the date for the last game. His season would’ve been over and now it is. No issues whatsoever from me. Wish him luck in the NFL.

Opt out= deciding not to play before the season
quitting= deciding to stop playing during the season
Hope this clears it up

Except that we still have 3 more games to play. Everyone knew the season would more then likely get extended to December. We started late and have less games. Such a BS excuse.

I agree. He got us a natty last year. No reason to be down on him. This season should never have been played anyway. No tailgating. 25% in the stands.

business decision
If I hear the term "business decision" one more time I'm gonna scream. 3 more weeks won't make a bit of difference in his "business decision". It's not gonna mean his parents can retire 3 weeks earlier. He bailed on his team just 3 weeks after his "unity" speech before the Arky game. What a crock!. He's a pussy that's scared he's goona get hurt. Get the F out of here and don't come back!

You have no clue. The combine ain’t football.

When your Head Coach says in response to a pathetic offensive showing against AM, “we need to call better plays”, you’d leave too. Marshall is smart enough to know how screwed up things are. Get out before you get crippled by Surtain because your WB throws you a duck because your O line doesn’t have a clue.

Except for you know quitting on his teammates and the program 3 weeks before the season is over. All after giving his teammates a speech about sticking together.

If an NFL player is up for free agency at the end of a season, but his team isn’t in contention for the playoffs, should he opt out? If not, why not, since he’s jeopardizing his financial future by continuing to play?

Re any business decision, what changed since Chase's same kind of decision back in August & now? Same concerns existed back then for Chase. QB play was an unknown, the number of former players who left after last season was the same. 2 new coaches, the virus had already cancelled basketball & Spring & Summer practices, etc. So why didn't TM opt out then? Answer: his team is struggling now. So, basically, when it got tough going, he quit. On his teammates.

Coach O himself just called it’s purely a “business decision” and said he’s family. Give the young man some slack.
You all so realize other player, those future and current see how people react when they make a decision in their best interest.
We don’t have to like it but don’t call the kid a “POS” and some of the other names I’ve seen. It’s uncalled for makes the fan base look bad to current and future players. I am sure some recruits and parents are on the Rant

Many of you have accused me of not loving LSU but you're saying fans are no longer going to support the program because of a bad season?
My support for LSU and those that suit up in the Purple and Gold is unwavering.
I'll complain and give the coaches hell but always support
