Agree on Hurd and Beloso. I’ve also been preaching on Guidry getting more opportunities to pitch in meaningful games.

Edwards is the best option for your 3rd starter, but he is so valuable in high leverage situations I leave him as is.

It is a special thing to be able to come in from the pen in crunch time and be able to consistently fill the zone.

It's still early, but in limited innings Herring may be one of those guys too. He was awesome last night.

If Little can lock down that 3rd starter spot I would love it. Somebody else deserves a shot at this point.

Would you ever like to see Cooper start again the rest of the season?

I agree. Run Little out there next Sunday for a weekend start and see what he can do. Like most people I think Hurd has all the talent in the world but there’s clearly some stuff to figure out. Best case scenario is Little throws well and locks down the Sunday spot. Worst case is you’re in the same spot as you are now trying to figure it out again.

People overreact to each weekend all the time on here. After every weekend there’s a new guy that “has to sit” or should “never pitch another meaningful inning”. It’ll all work out

Cade had a very rough day today.

Thursdays and Friday he was 1-8 ,1 RBI, 1 walk, 0 K’s, and a bunch of quality ABs. His spot at 5th in the lineup is tough because the majority of his ABs are coming with two outs. Outside of today he consistently put the ball in play that would have moved runners over or hit them in had there been less than two out.

Almost 100 percent agree great write up on the weekend.

I loved what I saw from the pen for the most part.

I like the idea of Pearson and Kling in the corners, Tre at first and Jones to DH.

Little probably starts again on Tuesday but they extend him.

Then, I think we see Hurd in game 3 again in Columbia. Having thrown so few pitches, they should have an opportunity to do some active work with him this week before hitting the road.

You can tinker with that 3rd slot, if you have to, when we come back home for the Kentucky series.

Listening to jays post game, sounds like he wants Hurd to pitch on Tuesday. Doesn’t sound like someone that will start a game next weekend if that’s the case

this is from Leah's article tho

quote:

"I was talking with Ben McDonald about that today and he said it's a learned skill to only give up one right there," Johnson said. "And he certainly has the stuff to do it. He'll probably pitch on Tuesday in some capacity."

Yall are reading something this guy stated when someone stated that Skenes was far better than Lange forgetting how Lange was rocked when people started laying off that splitter.

Shores threw 70+ pitches and didn’t make it through the 4th twice this year.

I believe there were a few games he was on an innings limit but he also has looked better out the pen

Where is your post in that thread?

You remind me of lil buddy hold that tiger 10. Never have an original opinion on anything, but you sit around and tell everyone how wrong they are when they give their own takes.

Read the thread. My take isn’t even bad considering some of the other things said in that thread.

Wind was more than 6mph according to the flags. Jobert’s ball all the way. I’m also expecting some not so good news this week
