LSU effectively made 3 errors that inning. Oof.
Just not ready to play today.

i dont care enough about jobert to make excuses for him lol. That was a routine popup to 2B. That is not Jobert's ball. That ball was barely on the grass. Dugas did not have to move but a few steps back.
It was almost dropped directly in between where Jobert and Dugas were lined up.
Dugas should have caught it. Jobert shouldn’t have let Dugas make the play. That’s Jobert’s ball.

Barely on the grass? It was halfway between the 2B And RF. That’s the RFs ball to call every single time

after those first two games

Well this is the midway point game of our season and to date we had avoided THIS. About everything that could go wrong did so in the 1st inning. Flush it and bounce back like a championship-caliber team.

Well I'm glad Hurd donated his NIL money

Still have 27 outs to play with. Sloppy start, but that’s the thing about baseball. It’s not over until till it’s over.

I’d enjoy watching crookedness happen with lots of points

35% on Dugas and 65% on Jobert.
Hard to tell. Normally you want your RF to come in and take a ball like that, but Dugas thought he was camped under it and called for it. The wind drifted it slightly over his head. Just one of those things that’s probably no big deal if nobody is on, but with runners all over the place it was killer.

Both are below average fielders though for those positions.
No doubt. Don’t think White is a very good 3B either. And not just because of that play. He has no lateral range. But they’re all in for their bats.
I’m assuming Kling is still not 100% healthy or he’d have gotten at least 1 start by now. I know he’s come in as a defensive replacement, so maybe whatever it is affects his hitting more than his running. If it’s his back, maybe the torque from swinging aggravates it.

That is not Jobert's ball.
When he saw Dugas continuing to back pedal he should’ve called him off.

It's easier for the outfielder to make the play, because he is coming forward toward the ball. End of story.
