The absolute worse fanbase in the country, hands down. Just miserable!

Will you knock off that shite about what the gumps are "losing"?

Bama assuming they lose Robinson and Henry. Will lose 14 starters at a minimum plus Drake, back up of Henry. Sure they reload but losing 14 starters will have a huge impact on your team. 14 would be a minimum I could see them losing everyone except one CB this year. Bama is about to be gashed by the NFL. So this year they actually are losing alot. Sure Bama reloads but we saw what happened after 2012, Bama isn't immune to the early departure bug expect them to have a down year next year.

They'll just fill the holes with 4 and 5 star players who have been in the program for a couple years waiting their turn a long with a mix of superstar underclassmen and freshmen (like Ridley was this year)

We recruit just as well as Bama. We have more players in the NFL to prove that. The QB play has mostly to do with the outcome of the games.

I have to disagree. As a hypothetical: If next year Bama puts 22 guys in the NFL - one at every position - and LSU puts 22, but 16 are on defense, who do you think wins next year's game? Assume QB equals out (even though, as you pointed out, it rarely does).

You don't need to answer the question. We get the answer every year. Our NFL numbers are super-inflated by guys who hardly see the field at LSU because our talent is highly concentrated at defensive back, running back and receiver. Wright, Boone, Shepard, Brooks, Blue, K Williams are a few examples. All of those guys made NFL rosters but did LSU very little good.

Meanwhile you're counting these guys against Ashawn Robinson who jumps over our center to block a kick.

Alexander never rose to La'el Collins level and Hawkins was a year behind him in experience. Both had the ability to get stupid penalties and miss key blocks; especially on pass protection. Just because one is a starter doesn't make him All Pro worthy. They also didn't play close to every snap. Many youthful linemen got experience and that is huge for building to reload the next season.

The D Line may have to carry us the first few games, but there is no reason we shouldn't see improvement at OL over this years troupe by the time they hit the Florida game.

You got jumped on with the quickness.

FWIW I agree with you. Unfortunately most people (Pumpers) can't see the forest from the trees.

I think we'll be fine on the lines for most of the year, but against bama and more physical teams, can we hold up? Who knows.

We suck. Go 8-0 then lose to bama and arkansas again. Les will be under the hot seat. F King bail him out. Rinse and repeat till 2019 is over.

Look back at the recruiting on the O Line the past 2 offseasons, and what we have coming in this year. Pocic should make a much better tackle than center, and Clapp and Tehuma were freaking freshmen. Do you idiots think they suck? They held their own in all but three games, and were awesome against UF. Maybe you guys haven't noticed, but Bama and Ole Miss had great D Lines this season. Both are losing a lot of talent along their font 7s, and our guys will have another year of seasoning and conditioning.

We have great depth at guard. If Clapp or Dodd can step forward at Center, guard should be fine. It's all about finding a right tackle to play opposite Pocic, and between Valentine and Weathersby, the talent is there. Honestly, any of these guys should be an upgrade over Alexander who, while he a great guard, was not even a good tackle, especially in pass protection.

I think anyone who doesn't expect the O Line to be more physical next season is blind to facts because of a negative agenda.

Yes, Clapp and Teuhema get named to freshman AA teams and people question their abilities. Both of those guys play with mean streaks, plus Pocic is extremely talented. I wasn't blown away by Hawkins or Alexander in 2015, they sure aren't La'el caliber. I thought Hawkins, even as what would be a 5th year senior season, would have benefitted from staying. Weathersby appears to have a lot of upside. Plenty of dumb penalties called on OL in 2015, they get that worked out plus possibly start 2 guys at OT that may have superior physical skills than H & A, good things can happen.

LSU's punt D ranked dead last @ 127, how about getting that shite fixed and other easy solutions that will help win some games with vastly improved starting defensive field position for the Tigers and establish a short passing game...

Our Oline has always been generally great, but for some reason they always to AWOL against the Big boys like Bama. I don't know if much will change there. With the DLine, I do like our direction we are going in under Coach O and having ore depth from a great recruiting class next year will help to avoid them getting worn down.

All in all, not much will change. Miles now knows he is invincible after the sh*t storm that went down. LSU will always beat the down teams but not the elite and win 8 or 9 games each year.

Because in November all territory between the goal lines is just as valid as the end zones.

Myth. The line started going downhill in 2013 and hasn't been dominant since. In 13, the pass protection was terrible, which got Mett hurt down the stretch. 2014 started really badly, partially because of the new zone blocking scheme, but they still struggled to dominate teams even once they got it. Then, we were patchwork again this year. They looked great at times, but it's hard to be dominant when you have to rely on two freshmen to start.

We've been thin, playing guys early, and have had to constantly shuffle guys because of it. Studs did an awful job recruiting his last 2 years, and we are just now moving beyond that.

Well, you saw a certain DC's defense against Texas Tech. 3 down linemen showing 2-gap with 2 LB and 1 DE (up) virtually all game.

The TT offensive line didn't know who to block beyond the 3 d-linemen.

Because of the massive losses our West division opponents are going to incur this year due to graduation and the draft...

Ole Miss loses entire OL and 3/4 DL
Bama loses about 2/3 of front seven including two deep is what I am hearing. Add DC, Sec coach, and LB coach.
MSU? lost a lot last year so may be good year for them
Arky loses a lot in OL and DL and QB
Aub? dumpster on fire
aTm? dumpster on fire
