Let’s see how he plays in next couple of games before drawing any conclusions

I don't think film in his case helps much since he spread the ball all over, threw a number of different routes with great touch, got rid of the ball decisively and had some decent runs. The O-line blocked so well that it's hard to tell how he would do getting tons of pressure. There is nothing there based on last night's film to say he has a certain weakness to attack.

Pretty sure they’ve already seen the Ponchatoula High clips already.

It’s kind like back in 2002 after Mauck got hurt and then we whipped Carolina the 1st week Randall started. Once AU had film on him we went to AU and he got crushed.

I don't it'll take a couple of games. If Finley plays at Auburn the way he did against South Carolina, I can't see you take him off the field. Kevin Steele is going to send pressure next week. If the pressure gets to TJ and he's making mistakes, I have no problem with bringing Myles back for Bama.

That usually does happen in a lot of cases. We thought Brandon Harris was going to be the guy after he came in against State and we looked like an offense until he started at Auburn.

But in this case just based on last night's game, I don't see anything on film that shows a lot of weaknesses or tendencies. Finley spread the ball out and didn't lock in to any particular route or WR. Calling good plays is also important for a young QB.

Emery TDP are the keys to this team winning regardless of qb... slows the game down and when the defenses like USC have to worry about our run game It’s not even fair for secondaries.. last night the running attack actually looked strategically planned out to me. And with the problems at defense longer sustained drives will help keep offenses out of rhythm. Hopefully (sigh)

Valid point, for any QB. DC's will look to attack any real or perceived weaknesses, of any QB. Essential for LSU, with Finley or MB, to keep getting better at what we do and what WE CAN do to other teams.

He got rid of the ball so quick that it will be hard to get pressure if he makes the right reads.

Nearly the whole board wanted Brandon Harris and Anthony Jennings when they came in and looked great in their first games. I think Finley is going to be a great QB. But as we have learned the hard way, one game is just one game, so we don't need to talk about QBs transferring already, etc., like the jerkoff announcers last night.

I trust the Coaches.
O has said Brennan is the starter.
Orgeron and staff have consistently made good decisions for LSU.
When he says we need a change then I will trust his judgement. He has earned it.

Yeah, so what. It was the same offense with more runs called.

Did you notice........
A) we substituted WRs/RBs less and ran multiple chains with same personnel
B) We ran some "Tigerdroppings RPO", known to the rest of the world as Read-Option
C) We ran alot of RPO

So that "film on Finley" gave opponents alot to consider. That game film is the "multiple" that is tough to plan for. It isn't about the name on the back of the jersey.

Is that why we all wanted Justin Fields?

i was there. we were down 14-3 at half. that was the biggest 3rd quarter explosion ever to change a game.
