I wasnt trying to take away from you being respectful.

I’m only pointing out that 2019 LSU is way better than 2015 UGA.

UGA was unranked when y’all played. Richt was on the hot seat after that year. They weren’t even close to living up to their preseason expectations.

That team y’all played Saturday was the most ready to play LSU team I have ever seen. I have never seen an LSU team with that attitude and ferocity.

GSU fans have agreed with that statement on our board.

GSU fans are also upset that GSU was so underprepared. I'm not saying the outcome would have been different but GSU played a bad game.

Exactly. He's back but it is a half hearted congratulations. "Congratulations, but..." Could it be this LSU team is just that good versus your team being bad.

That Georgia team you played into overtime was not a championship level team. This LSU team is and there is a world of difference. That Georgia team ended up 24th. And they were coming off a hard fought win against a rival, Auburn, before your game. With Georgia Tech, another rival, next. The proverbial trap game. Taking Georgia to overtime is big for that program I understand, but just a loss for SEC level teams.

Texas fans are doing the same transitional analysis. They beat Georgia, thus they will also beat LSU. They will receive a rude awakening as well. This LSU team ain't Georgia. This LSU team is stacked with future NFL players, especially on defense. Six of the 11 on defense could eventually be first round draft picks. Delpit, Fulton, Stevens, Stingley, Chaisson, and Lawrence.

No, we often put up 21 points against FBS teams like we did BAMA when we were FCS. As a matter of fact the year we played BAMA GSU put up more points & yardage than any other
SEC team did that year.

2019, Different year different HC, different players and we now run the shotgun Option. Like I said before I give LSU the credit and you showed who was the better team last Saturday.

Sat next to some GSU fans from Statesboro last night. Nice folks and pretty miserable by the 3rd quarter but hung in there to the bitter end.

I happened to be pretty close to the guy handling your live Bald Eagle...
Fascinating to watch.

Good luck the rest of the year and Geaux Tigers!

Its not half hearted. The congrats is real. LSU blew GSU out of our shoes.

I just was hoping that GSU had made enough progress over las year to play LSU tough in the 1st half.

I didn’t think it was half hearted. I felt full heart on that one.

Hope you enjoyed the game and atmosphere.

I think your fanbase misjudged what they were getting into, if you were hoping on 21-28 pts. LSU is not 2015 UGA, or the other teams you mention... we fired Les Miles for "declining" into a program ranked #10-15.

The talent and infrastructure is in place to be a legit threat to overtake Alabama, or at least play them on even terms every year. Les lost the fire in his belly to do so, and the schemes were outdated and safe.
Understand, last year's 10-3 team was still considered sputtering and not hitting on all cylinders.

LSU is a program that appears to be waking up from it's stupor of the past 5 years, and is angry at what has been taken from it. If I'm right about this team, you will see LSU repeat the first half performance against a lot of teams considered better than Georgia Southern, and will make some statements on the field that they are back.

I didn't think O was the right man to do this, but it seems like he's pushed the right coordinator buttons, and now he just has to let the game unfold in front of him, instead of having to actively manage it. The head guy doesn't have to be a tactical genius, just a good strategist- if you have the right tacticians under you.

Just got home, wanted to come over and thank everyone for the hospitality. The overall trip was great. Only met 1 douchebag LSU fan... that was the guy who showed up less then 2 hours before kickoff and got pissed because we were in his (unassigned) tailgate spot. He decided to pull his SUV as close as he could to our tents and wasn't even in a parking spot. Besides that guy, EVERYONE was super awesome.

No, the game didn't go anywhere near what I expected. Sometimes you're the chicken, sometimes you're chicken shite. Good luck the rest of the season. Beat Texas!

TALON- I understand what you are saying.
Its just that GSC/GSU fans have been use to winning in FCS and the first 2 years of FBS. GSU fans are not really use to
losing like we have been. WE have played tough FBS teams while we were in FCS and our first 2 years in FBS. Both in FCS and FBS we could at least take power FBS teams into the 3rd. The beat down GSU suffered on Saturday without showing much or any improvement distresses GSU fans greatly. I think you and the LSU fans can understand our fans distress even though we were totally outmatched by LSU

Lol, this post will get DVd to death, but I don't know why. Talon showed up here and pretty quickly started talking shite if anyone told him what reality was gonna be, and the main thing, STILL hasn't figured out the damn quote feature.
Deserves every bit of shite he gets.

That said, good on him for coming back for his blackened crow.

I don't think GSU should be distressed. I believe this LSU team is special...not like the previous years. GSU will be GSU by the time the year ends. They just drew a buzzsaw in the first game. I hope for both of our sakes I am right....but Im pretty confident I am. This LSU team finally has an offense to go with their stifling defense. The NCAA will take notice soon enough....(I hope!!)

I always hate playing triple option teams. I really thought they would score 10-14 points.

Y’alls offense was a disaster. Run right, run left, run up the middle, fake handoff qb sneak, etc etc. it looked horrible.

Honestly, it was a surprise to all of us that this offense is ours. Being in GA, I have a lot of work mates who were POSITIVE that you guys were going to beat us. In fact, they were literally crowing all Friday while I kept my tongue. See, I was reserved because I've seen LSU play these 'cupcake' games badly before. Never in my lifetime have I see LSU go out and take care of business like they did Saturday.

I have nothing but love for GSU and am sorry for our monster hurting half your skilled guys. I'm never for kids getting hurt. And I do wish you guys best on the rest of your season.
