Just got home, wanted to come over and thank everyone for the hospitality. The overall trip was great. Only met 1 douchebag LSU fan... that was the guy who showed up less then 2 hours before kickoff and got pissed because we were in his (unassigned) tailgate spot. He decided to pull his SUV as close as he could to our tents and wasn't even in a parking spot. Besides that guy, EVERYONE was super awesome.

No, the game didn't go anywhere near what I expected. Sometimes you're the chicken, sometimes you're chicken shite. Good luck the rest of the season. Beat Texas!

If the opposing offenses have a hard time scoring on their first several series, that could carry over to their defense. The defense is thinking "what can they do?" The option allows for lesser talent teams to stay in the ball games against bigger teams. That is why you see them run it. Look at the service academies, they all run an option type offense

Pretty spot on. The option is basically an equalizer offense. It's one of the reasons Erk went with it when he started the program. If you've watched "We Are Marshall", they explain it pretty well. Ultimately, it's pure assignment football. If the defensive players can stay in their lane and do their assigned job, they can be successful against the option. But it's very difficult for highly talented players who are used to making the big plays to keep in line and not be tempted to come off their assignments.

If GS is going to be successful in this game, we have to execute quickly and LSU will need to have some guys out of position that we can take advantage of. I do not see us attempting to throw more than 2 or 3 times simply because we won't be able to straight up pass block effectively enough against your DL.

As far as your offense goes, if you line up and play smashmouth football against us, you will move the ball methodically and wear us out. Our 1's can prolly hang with your 1's... but your 2's and 3's will be the difference. We do not have the same level of talent depth as an SEC team.

No. Unfortunately, TALON seems to forget that nobody at this level gives a shite about FCS titles except the teams that won them.

The development of JD King receiving immediate eligibility is pretty big for our team. He practiced with the 1's in spring but has been with the 3's during fall camp pending the outcome of the appeal. I expect he will be back with the 1's today and will be the starter against y'all.
