Not true. You can find places to stand. It is loud and 07 Florida was the loudest I have ever hear. While it wasn't a pre game at the loudest moment.loudest pre game from field I have ever heard would have to be 07 VT or 09 Florida

Um no. You can in between the 25s. Maybe not from the band perspective cause y'all are behind even the trainers.

I was in TB from 1984-1988. Both times we played Nebraska in the Sugar Bowl, it was so long on the field you couldn't hear yourself play. It was amazing. The Earthquake game was pretty amazing as well. ( TB wasn't on the field for that of course)

One year at Bama, during half time, lightening struck a light pole and then it hailed on us. We stopped that show short and got the hell off the field.

Those was good times.

She said the band is taught to count "1..2..3..4.." once they started playing otherwise if they listened to the crowd they would all get lost and be playing out of unison.

Home games --88 earthquake, 03 Georgia and 07 Florida. Away games---86 or 87 Alabama , 97 Alabama , 04 Florida and 11 alambama. The crowd and band rocked all of those games. There is no better feeling than whipping some arse at their house, walking out of the stadium with TGBFTL and cranking up pre game as you walk out together. I get chills every time I think about it .

If you still count 1,2,3,4 at the collegiate level, you suck. Seriously, you should go die in a fire or play baritone

My wet dream in life is to watch a game from the field. I really would love to experience how loud it really gets down there. I bet standing on the eye where all the sounds converges is really deafening

I was lucky enough to play on the field for a catholic league championship game in 1976 - we played before maybe before the rice (?) game - we also were given tours of the locker room.

The loudest pregame i've marched (so far) I really think was the saints game this year. I couldn't hear myself play. Loudest at tiger stadium was Florida '09.

ETA: Got 2 games meshed together in my head. (The ULL game a few weeks before that got loud when they announced that USC lost)

I have notified my husband and entire family if I should ever be in a coma(heaven forbid) just play the the pregame song so I can hear it. If I don't open my eyes - pull the plug - I ain't coming back!
