I missed the part where Alabama has started 2 freshman all year with a third getting starters reps in several games.

The star levels and experience between lsu and bama have been broken down ad nauseum here recently. There isnt a significant difference.

How does the oline and dline look competitive, if not better than, Alabama. But get pushed around by Troy?

Oline: Freshmen took several games to come up to speed.

Dline: we were seriously depleted with injuries to Rashard Lawrence and Alexander. Also, Herron was suspended. It’s a different dline now.

Agreed. But it isn't a lack of talent. That is my entire point that most in the thread won't admit. They were making excuses earlier in the year and now are too hard headed to admit it

Lol. Freshman grew up in a month? Learned how to play football in a month? Maybe they corrected

The line stopped shuffling. After Troy the OL has been the same.

Malone went out early vs fla and every since then Charles has been at LT.

He's a better LT than he was a guard. He's also still learning the position.

Of course he's gotten better, he has right in front of our eyes.

Are you blind or watching the game any?

How can you say he hasn't gotten better since the byu game?

Are you blind reading my posts?

I'm not disputing we have gotten better. I'm calling out all those people that said we didn't have enough talent on this roster. A total bullshite excuse fabricated by O pumpers looking to buy him time to "rebuild".

Who starts and where on the line is coaching. It doesn't have anything to do with talent.

Give grimes credit for having them ready to play

Bama won a national title while losing to Ole Miss then beating a better MSU squad 38-0 and a MUCH better Clemson squad.

What gives? Did Bama have a lack of effort against Ole Miss? Seems to be what you're implying or actually stating directly.

I didn't see that thread but if that was the conclusion of the thread then a bunch of idiots must have been in it. Bama has had the number one recruiting class every year the last 5 years while we have averaged about 8.3 over the same time period. Those class rankings don't even give the full story as they have recruited especially better and in both quantity and quality in the trenches on both sides of the ball while our high rankings come from other areas (db's, etc.)

100% will give grimes credit. That only supports my theory that he didn't have them ready for Troy.

The talent/coaching issue is distracting from the real point of this thread. Which is that we don't have a significant talent gap from the best teams in the SEC. It is something to be happy about

I am by no means a " O pumper " but the oline is not as talented as it has been in the past and way inexperienced. Add in a few injuries and you have a legit excuse as to why they were not playing well.

All I'm implying is that we don't have a significant talent deficiency on the lines. A theory that was peddled by O and some around here after the Troy loss. The thought that it would take time to "rebuild" the lines because we just didn't have anyone there thay could get it done. Was all bogus

Someone with better search skills than me can probably link the thread that broke down both lines by recruit ranking and experience level. It was equivalent.

All I am implying is that you are an idiot if you really believe that. We played over our heads in the trenches last night for sure but the talent level and depth difference in the trenches is an area we need to and are addressing.

Maybe you should go find the thread before you start calling people idiots

The only idiots are those who are trying to make excuses that we can't compete with Alabama because of a lack of talent. It's a convenient excuse because it means the coaches can't do anything to help our situation and we just "have to wait until next year". All bullshite

Holy shite

It doesn't matter what the overall group star ranking was. One was starting 2 freshman the other was not. What about that do you not understand?
