How does the oline and dline look competitive, if not better than, Alabama. But get pushed around by Troy?

Can we all agree now that it was effort and coaching? Not this mythical talent gap. I hope we can put that theory to rest

Sometimes weird things happen in football, a lot of times. I wouldn't default it to effort.

Sometimes the best answer is I don't know in sports.

Yeah they just needed to man up. Now that KJ is out, the O-line looks better. Sad we had to have an injury to know that

Injuries. Our whole starting DL didn't play against Troy and was still recovering from injury against state

"Weird things" and "I don't know" can happen on a particular play or a handful of plays. Those excuses don't make sense when you are talking about smaller guys pushing around bigger, stronger guys for 60 min.

Ill stick with my theory over "weird things and I don't know"

Bogus. Our backups are way better than Troy on paper. And that doesn't explain the oline.

Why is it so hard for yall to except it was effort and coaching?

Effort and coaching and maybe we snagged some antler spray going through Demopolis on the way.

Then why do they happen every season in every sport ?

Lol. Freshman grew up in a month? Learned how to play football in a month? Maybe they corrected some things that already should have been corrected after spring ball

So the talent gap is a myth right?

To who? Lsu? We haven't lost to a team like Troy in decades

Haven't seen it happen to Alabama and other well coached teams

"weird things" are a fumble here, a great catch there, etc..... Not your big guys being pushed around by their smaller guys for 60 min

Learned how to play beside each other in a month maybe. It takes time for an oline to gel together and play as one unit. That didn't happen at the beginning of the year. Alot of that is repetitions and experience. Not sure what is so hard to understand about that.

You're saying this a day after Iowa beat Ohio State by 30.

Most teams in every sport.

Doesn't have to be a loss. Sometimes teams will beat a good team by more than a bad team. You think it's always effort apparently. That's a bit naive imo.

Bama beat Ole Miss by 63 and Colorado St by 18, lack of effort for Bama against Colorado St?

Ohio St didn't try is the logic he and others are running with

1. Iowa is a conference team
2. Iowa didn't push Ohio state around on both lines all game
3. No one is saying Ohio State doesn't have talent in the trenches

Fine, call it "weird things".... It still smashes the theory that we don't have enough talent. That's my point
