Indeed.

The plan was to win the regional, and LSU did just that.

Win and advance, no matter how ugly or pretty a win is, it’s a win

Get used to the carnage in college baseball. With reduced roster sizes next year, hundreds of older players staying around until age 24, you are going to see more of these types of results.

With reduced rosters 1 or 2 key injuries will sink your season. Just ask Texas.

Wonder how much of the carnage is due to NIL and the portal just as it shook up football.

People will downvote but I changed the way I look at this team as the season went on, so I am pretty happy with almost any result from here on out.

I still don't think this team is great, but I don't think anyone is great this year. There were handful of very good teams, but half of them were eliminated over the weekend. It's a bit of a crapshoot from here on out, but LSU has as good a chance as anyone to come out on top.

I do think this team has a lot more depth than most and is very solid from top to bottom. There are 4 or 5 guys not getting ABs that can flat out hit, and the bullpen has so many power arms it's kind of ridiculous. The free passes are the issue with that group.

Its all about winning. Jay knows 1000x more than the morons on this board who bitch about the team everytime the score tightens up.

All of the morons on the board said to move jones out of the lineup or move him down the lineup way before Jay did that.

Jay does it and moves Frey up.....rest is history. So although we do have a bunch of retards on this board...when the entire board is saying one thing it's generally the right call

There isn’t a team left that is head and shoulders better than LSU. There are a few who could definitely beat LSU but if LSU gets past this weekend they will Be one of the favorites in Omaha.

I can't remember a regional weekend with so much carnage. 7 of the 16 seeds eliminated at their house is insane.

6 were eliminated before the SR round last year. 7 were eliminated in 2023.

I said move him down yesterday to 5th or 6th, before Jay did.

Thats not being a "moron."

Unfortunately, they would be matched up in Game 1 vs. either the team that had the best odds going into the tournament (Arkansas) or the 3rd best odds (Tennessee)

That's surprising to me to be honest. Even the guys on squeeze play were saying this year was crazy. Victim of the moment I guess.

Will Wade wouldn't have lost a game to LR and fallen behind a second game ??

Just the sport in general. Like Ben said the other night 100/100 times LSU wins that Little Rock matchup in football. Underdog always has a shot in baseball which makes it fun

4 of last 5 years we’ve had a 4 seed advance out a regional and the other year Ole Miss was the last bubble team into the tournament and won it all

*portal age*. While mid majors are going to lose their top players to cherry picking power 5 schools, they are also getting players from power 5 schools that want AB’s and innings, throw that in with some great juco players because of the roster size. It a healthy balance imo.
