T or F: Malachi Dupre would have been a top 2 round pick if he played with Burrow/Brady

Obviously Malachi had some personal deficiencies that hurt him but with his physical tools in this offense he probably would have been a multi-year 1000 yd WR and top 3 round pick.

False. Numbers would have been better, but a good bit of Dupre's issues are between the ears. Couldn't see him going in the top two rounds

So after being with multiple NFL teams why hasn't he succeeded?

Kinda sounds like Uncle Rico "If only the coach had put me in, in the 4th quarter"

Im going with FALSE for 100

Maybe the jug machine would’ve helped him not drop everything

He would have made massive strides under Brady

Our WRs development from 2 years ago to last year was phenomenal

False. He had opportunities in the pros. Only difference may have been a longer contract.

I honestly think going from a 5 star recruit to a 7th round pick killed his confidence. And he never developed much as a WR while he was in college. He is still a relatively young guy but there were a lot of things that led to his downfall in my opinion.

The only game I can remember him really going after the ball aggressively was his last game at LSU, the bowl game vs Louisville. He didn't seem to be a great route runner and he played smaller than he was. He's not in the same league as Chase, Jefferson or Marshall.

Excluding his high school system, bad QB play and terrible play calling concerning the passing game at LSU during that time, he still probably would’ve had issues.

Maybe he progresses with the current regime, but he was easily jammed at the line and abused by whomever lined up in front of him. His hands left quite a bit to be desired and couldn’t utilize some of his best attributes, such as high pointing the ball with a good vert.

False. He was probably the worst tall WR I’ve ever seen at high pointing a ball.

Why do people always attribute Dupre to the scheme? Dupre started all 3 years. He had a ton of opportunities. It’s the lesser known guys like Dural and Gage who would’ve benefited most.

Dupre was somehow a bigger disappointment than Brandon Harris.

What was Jim Leonhard’s quote about LSU’s WR group? “They’re big but they don’t play big”? Something like that.

He was talking about Dupre

False.

He flashed a ton of potential but count make it work.

Guys have come from the archaic system and still been successful. Such as Chark, Rueben, Odell, Jarvis and Lafell.

Hell Russell Gage is still in the league.

Malachi should have been a first rounder but for some reason never put it all together

This is my take as well but maybe he would have gotten better instruction that made him a better player...
