Our line backers look to be severely lacking compared to 2019. But our D line is gonna be great. We will need a few WRs to really step up if we’re going to be good. Other than Kayshon it doesn’t matter how good they say they have been in practice

2019 had the greatest year of any team in History. It will be hard to come close to ever beating the teams that were ranked on that schedule, ever, by any team. Yes , there could be some improvements on Defense, but it will take a full year of accomplishments to even compare…

Just glancing quickly looks like lsu had 20 guys selected from the 2019 team over the last two drafts.

This team may equal that number but the problem is they will not likely all peak at a similar time and hence put up 2019 numbers and results.

To be fair.
2019 was the perfect combination of top talent and cohesiveness between players. I believe the chemistry between players + staffing is just as responsible for 2019 success as the talent was.
So to answer your question. The answer is still no. Lol 2019 was loaded.

There isn’t a single position group better aside from DL. CB position comes close.

Some people lack the capacity to think. 2019 was just one season ago and you have already forgotten Joe Burrow? You didn't need a backup with that guy but Brennan was there if you did have to substitute. So best QB room? NO, how can you do better than the greatest college qb of all time?
Same with running back. Clyde is still underrated even after proving himself in the pros. OL was also the best we have had so forget about that.
Yeah, secondary maybe some better but let's see them keep healthy and prove themselves. Linebackers not near as good. DL should be better.

Well if max wins the Heisman and Boutte and top win every offensive award and the offensive line wins the award again then yeah.
The defense is going to be better, but the offense will not be close to 2019
