IU was out gained by Oregon 378-365 yards. They were the better team last night, but turnovers helped them a lot.
The Clemson team that LSU soundly beat had Trevor Lawrence, Travis Etienne and Tee Higgins, and were far superrior to that Oregon team.
And most importantly, LSU won the natty that year. Indiana has not achieved this yet.

T-Bob is a fricking idiot. He’s always been a fricking idiot, even when he played here. I don’t understand the fascination with his scripted as much as wrestling “opinions.”

No
No it wouldn’t!!!
Just look at the team stats from LSU v Oklahoma 2019 compared to the team stats from Indiana v Oregon! They’re not even in the same universe!

There's not a team in college football or NfL history that can cover 2019 LSU's receiver corps.

I know the NFL part sounds like hyperbole, but look what Jefferson and Chase did as soon as they hit the league and Chase say out the season prior to being drafted and was rusty.

And Burrow almost won a super bowl his first year healthy behind a bad Oline.

With the dilution of talent we're seeing in this new era, it's really not comparable to the stacked teams of the recent past.

And Indiana isn't in the same universe offensively as 2019 LSU. LSU was able to get healthy on defense down the stretch, holding #4 Georgia to 10, #4 Oklahoma (who had the 2nd best offense) to 28, and #3 Clemson to 25. Indiana is good on both sides but neither side is historic like the LSU offense was in 2019.

And I’ll keep repeating this….

LSU was an actual college team composed of mostly guys from Louisiana with minimal supplementation from out of state players. The way that it’s supposed to be.

I looked at the Indiana game stats and didn’t see one player from Indiana. And very few from the same state and region.

This matters because Indiana isn’t an Indiana team - you know what I mean.

LSU still wins over this NIL / portal hodgepodge of talent.

This Indiana team executes better than any time I ever seen. I'd be interested to see if anyone could put a line on this matchup?

Yeah LSU never trailed in the 4th quarter. Also like you said Indiana needed to convert a 4th and goal to beat Penn St, they also beat Iowa 20-15, and beat Old Dominion by only 13. This has been a down year as far as great teams go. I mean they are about to play a 10 seed in the title game. LSU had to play Clemson, who had won over 30 straight and was trying to win their 3rd title in 4 years. These things are not the same.
