Interesting stats. But what is even more interesting to me is Miami just beat Indians the #1 seed in this bracket. Miami looks to be a very tough opponent for LSU if they beat Villanova.and LSU beats UTah in their game. They beat Indians on their home court and I Diana never lead though they did tire the game once late.

Lsu should dominate the inside. The perimeter is going to be where the game is won. We're going to have to defend and knock down shots. Coincidentally, if we were to beat SC if we play them, it would be from the perimeter.

Only Utah stands in the way of the LSU women making it to the final 4.

I haven't looked into Miami or Villanova yet, but I'm sure they offer their own sort of difficulties.

I saw Utah play 2 full games and Villanova play 2 full games this season. BOTH are capable of beating LSU, IMO. Of course our Lady Tigers can beat anyone at this point though Carolina is the favorite to win it all again.

This game looks a lot like a battle of two #1 seeds.

I just saw that. I'm a little surprised honestly. I also saw the over/under is 149.5. Definitely see the under hitting on that one.

The advanced metrics have LSU as a top 5 (nationally) offensive AND defensive team. Combined, the metrics have LSU as the second best team in the country. Utah, on the other hand, looks to be a great offensive team, but really bad defensive team.

Admittedly, I don't follow WBB, at all. But looking solely at the advanced metrics (which are big highly predictive in the mens game) LSU is ridiculously under-seeded even as a 3. LSU was presumably penalized in the seedings for playing a relatively weak non-conf. schedule. But seeding doesn't always reflect the quality of the team.

While on the surface a 2 should be favored over a 3, the 3 being a 5 point favorite over 2 (a pretty big number for a neutral site game) tells you the handicappers have looked beyond the seeding.

We've also looked really good in our first 2 games while Utah really struggled to put away Princeton.

Not a fan of transitive property but if LSU brings that defense they had vs Michigan, I think they have a very good shot of moving on to the elite 8. They destroyed a pretty solid Michigan team (who played Iowa, Ohio St, Indiana, Maryland all very competitively) without decent shooting

Utah is a potent offensive team, defense is not as good bud a type where lsu can get going offensively
