You really think it’s not possible O could go 7-5 or 6-6 in 2018?
Or do you think he can go 7-5 or 6-6 in 2018 and still be HC in 2019?

If he goes to Cincy then in the back of his mind he will always have that "What If". If he goes to LSU he will never wonder "What If".
If he goes to LSU and suceeds, he will forever been seen as an SEC legend and that means alot more than anything Cincy can compete with.
He needs to go to LSU and make Meyer regret letting him go.

He has a better chance to put up stats at Cincinnati
Is that based on the 20.9 ppg that Cincy averaged last year vs 27.2 by LSU?
One thing we know is that LSU will rely on the pass more in 2018 without an elite RB.
You may be right that Cincy is the safer bet in securing the job, but if he's "all that" does he not think he can beat out 3 QBs that never started a game for LSU?
As Gene Hackman said in The Replacements: "Winners want the ball." Either he wants it or he doesn't and if he doesn't, like Les said, "He doesn't have the chest" and would likely wither under the heat of SEC defenses.

If he wants Cinny, I guess he thinks he might not get the starting job.

And you.....
Do you think you are clever or something? My guess is that you aren’t well liked in life and vent that anger trying to pretend something here. Probably never had a real job either.
You are certainly nothing close to what my definition for a “fan” is. More like a poison.

You people need to quit this shite. Have you ever considered this? This a 20 year old guy from Ohio, committed to and signed with OSU. His Dad is DC at Ohio U. He is considering Cincy and has a personal relationship with Fickel the HC at Cincy. The fact that he even made a trip down here is incredible. It shows the respect that he and has family have for LSU as a program historically and its reputation that he would kick the tires on the idea of coming here. So don't call the kid names and say he is weak for not coming here. The kids life and family is all Ohio. Not shocking if he decides to stay there.

You discuss things civilly? You do nothing but bring negativity to everything about the program. EVERYTHING!!
Well even if this were true (it isn't) I do so in a civil manner. I make an attempt to refrain from name calling unlike others.

How about acknowledging the fact that O and staff are working their asses off to better our program? Against the odds, they got the best QB prospect and his entire family on campus. This, after it was pretty much decided he would transfer to Cincy. Every coach and admin pulled out every stop and committed their entire weekend for the betterment of LSU. They’ve done everything possible. But, you and the losers here still can’t find anything to smile about.
I've never questioned Orgeron's effort. But trying hard doesn't mean good results follow. He's not being paid to try hard, he's being paid for results.
You can't just excuse all of his recruiting and coaching shortcomings by saying "he sure did try hard though, give him a break." Since when is trying hard good enough here?
quote:
I’m sure you and the losers can’t wait for him to pick Cincy so you can slam O and add it to the list of failures.
I do like a good melt. But I think Burrow here actually would make this year a do or die scenario, so I am/was looking forward to it. We'll see if he actually ends up picking us.
quote:
When in fact it was O’s ability that got him here in the first place.
Nah. Our safties coach was the one to secure this meeting. He's friends with the Burrows.

No it's based on the likelihood he'll get the starting job, throw the ball a lot, and not have to play through the rigors of the SEC.
He's already been beaten out of a job at Ohio State. If he's beaten out of a job here at LSU, he has no future in football.
I want to sêe here competing but I think the smarter choice would probably be Cincy given what I said above.

The fact we have fans willing to accept that cincy can out recruit O is sad. O only strong point was recruiting

I haven't defended O. I've actually provided Fickell's record as a contrast and even mentioned O's abysmal Ole Miss stint. I've contrasted what Cincy has to offer vs LSU. Do you have anything of substance to post or are you just going to be a douche?
Do you want to discuss Fickell having the worst season in 30 years as the OSU HC? Maybe his 33% win record at Cincy last year?

Cincinnati is returning a senior qb. We’ve only got one guy who’s played a few meaningful snaps. I think LSU would be the easier spot to start, not to mention the other benefits of lsu vs Cinci. Unless he’s weighing out other options I’m not giving up on him in purple and gold.

It shows the constant moving of he goal posts for O lovers.
First Burrow was gonna come here and we weee gonna be a playoff team.
Now he’s a bum with no heart.
Won’t even admit that the great recruiter O lost out to a bad AAC team.

This guy seems to think Burrow's coming to LSU. See, I can be positive.
He doesn't have a blue checkmark though.

Former #OhioState QB Joe Burrow (@Joe_Burrow10) is expected to commit to #LSU. Immediately eligible as a grad transfer.
